This bonus episode sees Evie and Lily talk to Grace, a nurse at the Royal Melbourne Infectious Diseases Service. She works with Covid 19 patients and has recently recovered from contracting the disease. She talks about what it’s like to have Corona virus and how it was flu like and left her feeling terribly lethargic. She explains about her job at the Melbourne Infectious Diseases Services working with patients with diseases such as measles, parasites and ebola virus. This month Kidsverse talk to Jen Cloher, a respected recording and performing artist and co-founder of Milk! Records. The girls talk to Jen about her singing and songwriting. This month, Evie, Inez and Lily talk online with Jason, who plays the viola as his job. Jason Bunn works for Orchestra Victoria and started playing as a young child. He plays in orchestras as well as in folk and rock and roll bands. He talks to the girls about the differences between violas, violins and cellos. He even plays some pieces for the girls! Did you know that Jake in Adventure Time plays the viola? It’s a pretty fabulous and flexible instrument. Jason talks about playing the viola with a bow and plucking the strings to get different sounds from the instrument.

This month, Evie and Lily talk to Ally, a kindergarten teacher. Ally was the girls’ kindergarten teacher a few years back – so it gives them extra special insight into Ally’s teaching and they remember on some really wonderful lessons that Ally taught them. Why did she become a kinder teacher? What did she have to do to become a kindergarten teacher?

This month we’re talking to Tracey, a nurse. The World Health Organisation has said that the year 2020 is the Year of the Nurse and Midwife. On their website they say that nurses and midwives are the people who devote their lives to caring for mothers and children; give lifesaving immunisations and health advice; look after older people and generally meet everyday essential health needs. The girls talk to Tracey about her job, the challenges and the rewards.
