Today we talk with Joe Zanone. We talk through what pre-planning for a project looks like and what we think is to come in the future of downtown Denver.

Joe Zanone is a recognized professional in Denver, Colorado’s real estate and capital project industries. He founded Zanone Project Management (ZanonePM) in 2019 and serves as owner’s representative to GHD Architecture Engineering Construction (U.S. and Canada), Mile High United Way, EdgeCore Data Centers, and Project Worthmore, to name a few. Zanone Project Management have been involved with over one hundred projects in 26 U.S. states and 4 Canadian provinces.  

As a businessperson, Joe is purposeful in giving back. He is the President of Guys Who Give Denver, a Project Helping Hand board member, and donated time to Food For Thought. Joe and his wife live in the Denver Highlands neighborhood with their two young children and the family pup, Frank.

Today we talk with Katie Johnson. She tells us about some new and exiting things happening with lighting in commercial spaces.

Katie is coming upon her 11th year at MH as a Specification Salesperson. Her role includes supporting Architects, Interior Designers, Engineers, and Lighting Designers in selecting and designing lighting for all kinds of spaces in the built environment. Her favorite part of the job is helping designers achieve their vision.  When she’s not schlepping lights around town, writing luminaire schedules, running photometric calculations, or nerding out about lighting in some way, you can find her hanging out with her 2-1/2 year old.

Today we chat with Jodi Janda from JLL about the state of downtown Denver and what to expect in the coming months! 

Jodi is Executive Vice President and Group Manager at JLL in Denver. She is responsible for the oversight of over 2M RSF in downtown Denver. The properties include office, retail, and residential tenants. Her responsibilities include client relations, financial oversight, and regional level responsibilities. In addition, she manages capital and tenant improvement projects, building tenant relationships, and provides support and guidance to the administrative and engineering staff.

Stephen is the Executive Vice President of BOMA Denver Metro and BOMA Colorado. He loves seeing the Rockies every day from his office. Stephen is no stranger to BOMA as he also served in the same role for BOMA Austin 2015-2019 and BOMA Oakland/East Bay starting in January 2012. He is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and has been an active member of the association industry since 2003. Stephen has worked for other associations in training and development, conferences, and membership roles and was the Chief Operating Officer at the American Accounting Association in Sarasota, Florida.
