KILJ Radio hosted a candidate forum featuring the two candidates running for Henry County Attorney in the upcoming special election.
Republican candidate Becky Wilson and Democratic candidate Abbie Liechty joined us to discuss their backgrounds, their priorities for the Henry County Attorney’s Office, and how they would work with law enforcement, county officials, and the community if elected.
The special election was called after the former county attorney resigned mid-term, and the winner will serve until the general election in November.
During the forum, both candidates answered questions about restoring public trust in the office, working with local agencies, handling controversial cases, and the role of the county attorney in advising county government.
This forum aired live on KILJ Radio. We also invited listeners to submit questions ahead of the discussion.
