Every creature is so important to the way in which we live our life, says Kim McKay, the first female Director and CEO of the Australian Museum.

She's certainly made her mark on the oldest museum in Australia in her six years at the helm, creating new galleries and exhibitions and championing free admission for children.

Kim is a passionate environmentalist, having co-founded Clean Up Australia, and strong supporter of women in leadership.

And she never takes no for an answer.
