Have you ever wondered how the story about a man who rose from the dead got mixed up with hard-boiled eggs, baby chicks and bunny rabbits, then do I have a story for you. Long before Christianity or Judaism, the so-called pagans celebrated the time around the Spring Equinox's closest Full Moon as a time for the 3 R's - fertility, fecundity and fun. The Gnostic mystics had a lot to say about how Christianity co-opted all the holidays we are now familiar with, and Easter (Oester) is a good one to start with. Join me as we reveal this particular mystery and enjoy a chocolate bunny while you listen or watch. #easter #paganism #vernalequinox #alternativehistory #nature
