After a fatal fall, I used my raven to find a safe ground route to Alrekstad. I met Sigurd and faced the coward Gorm, who was protected by a truce. Basim then taught me how to move unseen to reach Gorm's cabin, but the truce ultimately forced me to leave him alive.

After dying from the fall last time, I didn't want to try the same way again. I called my raven to check for a ground route that was much safer for my journey. The bird flew high above the cliffs and found a clear path through the valley that avoided the dangerous ledges I had failed to cross before.

I started riding my horse to the frozen land on the mountain that I had ignored last time. I was looking for a shortcut before, but the long way proved to be much more stable for the animal. The snow was deep and the wind was cold, but we made steady progress toward our destination.

I reached Alrekstad after a long ride, and it looked like a very crowded town. The sun was setting in a beautiful way, casting long shadows over the wooden buildings. I had to find and speak to Sigurd, so I called my raven again to look around from the sky.

I found Sigurd, and there was also Gorm, the coward son of Kjotve the Cruel, with the last of his men. Sigurd mentioned they didn't have anything to do about it because they were under King Harald's truce. So Gorm got to leave the room in one piece, much to the frustration of everyone there.

Sigurd left Eivor to Basim, asking him to watch over the warrior and see that he warmed himself with a drink. But Eivor was much more interested in taking down Gorm once and for all. After seeing the sigil that Eivor got from Kjotve, Basim offered his help to take down the coward.

Basim mentioned he knew where Gorm was camped and who could help Eivor see Gorm while remaining unseen. I started following him outside toward the camp of Gorm.

On our way, Basim was teaching me the ways of walking unseen through hostile territory. He suggested that I put up my hood for the trick to work when we were close to the place where Gorm was hiding. I pulled the fabric over my head to blend in with the common folk.

I had to enter Gorm's cabin without any Norse soldiers noticing my presence. I was walking slowly, with the hood hiding my face from the curious eyes of the men around the fire.

There were some Norse soldiers who saw me even when I was hiding in the hood. I had to take them down anyway, realizing I had to take the other side of the camp where they were not looking.

Then I entered Gorm's cabin, where Eivor was challenging him for a fight. But some Norse soldiers came to warn Eivor that he was subject to King Harald's truce. They said breaking the peace would cast them all out of Alrekstad, forcing Eivor to lower his gaze.

Eivor had nothing to do but leave Gorm in one piece for the time being. He said some bold words to the coward before leaving the cabin and walking back into the cold air. It looked like it didn't affect Gorm at all, as he remained the most coward person in this world.

That's all for now.
