The people of Israel begged God for a king, so God made Saul a king in 7 days. But because it happened so fast, Saul never was able to reach his full potential.  
That's because God doesn't want to do things for instant gratification. He wants to do things slowly and thoroughly.  
 
It's one thing for you to have God's heart, it's another for Him to have your heart.
