In this episode, I wanted to explore the concept of grief. Specifically, disenfranchised grief.
Yikes, right. Like...why? I'm sooo glad you asked!
Because we ALL experience grief, there is NO escaping it. But...what about the grief we feel that is NOT considered "acceptable" by society? You know "Normal Grief" or the "stages or phases" of grief? One of my biggest goals as a Human, who has personally struggled with this style of grief, is to hold more space! For those who need it to work through their emotions & move more confidentally towards their goals. Luckily, I have built a network of people in my life who all understand my level of emotional expressiveness, and allow me to work through the thousands of emotions I feel each day; some far more complex that others.
In this extremely pivotiable moment in history, let's start reframing the way we think about grief - for ourselves and others. Let's allow more space for people to work through their emotions and move more confidently towards their goals.
