Wow! What a fun conversation I had with Ashley Kennedy. She and her family are currently church planting in Cape Town, South Africa. But before they left the states back in 2012, they launched a local restaurant with the mission of “Eat Well, Do Good”. Since that time, Syrup Breakfast Boutique has grown to two locations with over 50 employees. Ashley and her husband Jason carry a faith that is both convicting and refreshing. They aren’t afraid to fail and they aren’t afraid to take massive risks. They have been in some sticky situations on more than one occasion, as you will hear, and yet, God has come through every single time. I think one of the absolute most difficult things for entrepreneurs to learn to do is enjoy the journey. Maybe it’s because we are type A.
