Like we said last week, whenever Jesus speaks of power, it is almost never external, we are to focus on the unseen, internal power of God. When it was external, like calming the storms, it had an inner, spiritual. and eternal meaning.
The path to awareness lies through inner stillness, silence and direct communion with the Christ in us.

Jesus practiced spiritual power when he would retreat from the people and spend time alone with Father God. If we would withdrawal and do the same before making any decisive acts, we would always make better decisions.

There is an expression "to awaken a sleeping giant". It means provoking a quiet, peaceful, or passive power that has massive hidden strength, causing it to react with overwhelming force. That is what happens in us when we are awakened to the Christ within. We are going to discuss today what that looks like.

1Cor 4:20 Mirror The Kingdom of God (the dominion of the Christ life) is about an empowered life and not just a matter of quoting your favorite teacher or scriptures.

Being what the church refers to a “born again” experience doesn’t necessarily mean that the sleeping giant is awakened. It is a good starting point. I believe that true awakening occurs when we divest ourselves of rituals, doctrines and traditions and begin to have an intimate relationship seeing him face to face or spirit to spirit. Am I saying that you can’t have an awakening with the power within if you go to church? No. I am saying that when Jesus becomes more important to you than your pastor and the church you belong to and God becomes your one and only focus, then we begin to really see that knowing him and ourselves better is the most important thing in this life and the result of that is love. Like Jesus said, love God and love your neighbor as yourself. 1 John 3:2 says, when you see him as I am, you will be like him.

1 John 3:2 Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.

Where does he appear? In us. Verse 1 in the Mirror says The performance based systems of this world just cannot see this!

We Have Christlike Strength
 
Life can bog you down. It can be difficult at times.

We have all heard the scripture, I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.

Phil 4:13 I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]

Poetic Pause Pt 5 - Living Life in the NOW!
The presence of God is always present.
God says that the present moment is where He lives, where we find His grace, and where we must place our focus instead of worrying about tomorrow
The word "now" relates to eternity by shifting our view from time as a long line to a timeless point. Eternity is not just an endless amount of future time. It is the complete absence of time, where past, present, and future exist all at once. In spiritual and philosophical thought, "now" is the small window where humans touch that timeless reality.

On the road to Emaus Jesus was talking with some believers and they did not know him. He was invited to join them for dinner and something miraculous happened.

Luke 24:30 Joining them at the table for supper, he took bread and blessed it and broke it, then gave it to them. 31 All at once their eyes were opened and they realized he was Jesus! Then suddenly, in a flash, Jesus vanished from before their eyes!

32 Stunned, they looked at each other and said, “Why didn’t we recognize him? Didn’t our hearts burn with the flames of holy passion while we walked beside him? (they felt the burn before they knew it was Jesus) He unveiled for us such profound revelation from the Scriptures!”

3 things happened that day.

1.      They walked with him and didn’t know him

2.      Their eyes were opened and then they saw him as Jesus, and he vanished from their sight

3.      They had a burning desire to know him through a close personal relationship with him.

4.      A profound revelation of him was unveiled

This is exactly what happens to us on our journey with him. There is a progression

1.      We are drawn to him 

2.      We learn about him reading the Bible and going to a church

3.      We now know of him, but we still don’t really know him, but we continue to search for truth

4.      Then our eyes are opened to the oneness we have with him and his unconditional love he has for us.

5.      Then our hearts burn and yearn to be with him 24/7 and more of him is revealed to us daily

Breaking of the bread represents the establishment of a new covenant, and the unity of believers through fellowship. Breaking of bread with someone is a time of being with someone you care about.

The 5-Fold Ministry can only take you so far
Kingdom Building 2.0 can only take you as far as we have come. The 5-fold ministry can only take you as far as they have come and that is only as they see it. We are going to discuss today the work of the 5-fold ministry and how it was designed to take us so far and then it is up to us to take all that they provided and develop for ourselves an intimate personnel relationship with God and enter a kingdom 24/7 way of living.

What if God wants to take us further than your pastor, teacher and the other ministers you have been sitting under can take you. Let’s make one thing clear. Jim and I thank God for those he has placed in our lives, and we have been part of the 5-fold ministry we are talking about. We all serve an important role in others’ spiritual growth and will continue to do so.

We talked last time about 5 signs you are growing in Christ and how there is only one mediator, Jesus being our only mediator between us and God. Think for a second, what did they do before the Bible was published and the organized system was first put in place in 313 AD Rome?  That is when Constatine legalized Christianity, allowing the church to legally own property, build massive basilicas and formalize an open legal structure. 

5 Signs You Are Growing Deeper In Christ
You know you are maturing when your desires shift toward inner transformation rather than outward circumstances, you exhibit the Fruits of the Spirit (like patience and gentleness under pressure), and you naturally rely on His strength instead of your own. Today, we are going to take you to the doorway to your best life and what it looks like. At times it may look a little scary and unsettling, but you must be brave and push through to receive the best your life can be. If you do, you will enter the most powerful, authentic and fulfilling time of your life. If you feel restlessness, a quiet hunger, you are at the precipice of a major breakthrough.

Did Father Really Allow Jesus to Die to Appease his Anger? What is he angry about?
According to God, there is no sin. If God doesn’t remember sin, then why should we?
Propitiation is the act of appeasing or gaining the favor of a god, spirit, or a person, usually to avert anger or make amends for a wrong.

Propitiate is used to describe smoothing things over with someone you have offended, such as offering a gesture of goodwill to end a dispute.

Unconditional love never requires or needs to smooth things over to gain their acceptance and love. (Ted Bundy’s mom) All his despicable acts couldn’t deter a mother’s love. She hated what he did but she still loved him because he was her son. It is the same with our father.

Our Journey in Christ - What does it really mean to be born again? Pt 4

All we can do is share what we have observed and experienced and one thing we can all agree on is there are mixed signals and messages coming out of the modern church today. God is love, but only to a few individuals are saved. God has lower human emotions like jealousy, anger, and feels pain (not referring to Jesus earthly ministry); but he is the Almighty, all seeing, all knowing; God who knows everything that is going to happen before it happens and he still forgives, always shows grace and mercy and unconditional love. Unconditional love has no conditions on how he loves. Jesus said when you see me you have seen the father. The church needs to quit seeing God as anything other than a compassionate, accepting, and loving example of who we should be and are becoming and that is Jesus Christ.
