Keeping Our 2ndAmendment Rights – Alan Gottlieb
Freedom. The Bill of Rights. The Constitution. All of these things mean a lot here in America. Some nations that tried to pattern themselves after the United States have failed. And there is one, very basic reason, why they have failed.
At some point in time, those in charge decided it would be easier to manage the people by taking away their ability to own guns. The right to “Keep and Bear Arms” in the 2ndAmendment to the Constitution is a fundamental right that belongs to American’s. It has been challenged repeatedly by those who want to dismantle the freedom’s this nation enjoys. I’m talking mainly about the “progressive’s” on the liberal, socialist leaning left.
Oh, they never tell you it is so they can grab more power and keep you under subjection – they’re too smart to do that! But what they say is, “there is too much violence going on. So to curb the violence, we MUST take guns off the street.” But the problem is, if criminals are not allowed, by law, to possess guns now – and they do say anyway (because they are criminals and do not follow the law to begin with), then only the “law abiding people” will obey the new laws and turn over their guns.
Which means only two sets of people will have guns. Criminals, who will prey on innocent people even more so than they do now. And the Government. And once the inherent ability to keep despot government leaders in check and the millions of guns that basically enforce our freedom is removed, they will have no fear of using force to crack down on those who do not believe the same way they do.
This premise has been proven over and over and over through out the world. Go check the history of various nations to see if I’m not correct.

Help me welcome to the program, Alan Gottlieb. Alan it is a blessing to have you on the program today.
Ok. Let me start, as I always do, with this question first. Other than that brief bio I just read, tell us in your own words, “Who is Alan Gottlieb?”
When did you get involved with 2ndAmendment issues and what was the “spark” that started you down this path?
I grew up around guns. I came from a hunting family. I received my first BB gun when I was 7. My first shotgun at 12. My first rifle at 14. By the time I joined the Army at 18, I qualified as an Expert in the rifle, Pistol and shotgun as well as various other weapons in the Army. That continued throughout my military and my law enforcement career. I look back and realize it was because I was taught how to handle and use weapons as a youngster.
Why can’t society come to terms with the understanding that if you teach people how to act responsibly when they are young, they will generally do so as they get older? Especially concerning guns?
