Living in Babylon: Thriving in a Secular World

In this episode, we looked at the story of Daniel and his friends in Daniel 1. Taken into exile as teenagers, they were pressured to abandon their faith and adopt Babylonian culture, names, and practices. Yet in the middle of a hostile environment, Daniel made a crucial choice: “Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself” (Daniel 1:8).

• Faithfulness in a foreign land: Babylon tried to reshape Daniel’s identity, but he chose loyalty to God over compromise. True conviction must be settled in the heart before the test comes.
