This episode was recorded in recognition and appreciation of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Below is a link to Dr. King's "I Have A Dream" speech - worth the time to read. https://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/mlkihaveadream.htm
Christopher Berrios joins me for a discussion about racial and culture unity; via Blood Stained Glasses. Listen to the episode to hear Chris discuss what Blood Stained Glasses are and how we all, regardless of our race or culture, should put them on and never take them off. In this podcast, given the time limitations, we discuss some of Chris' experience with racism, but spend a majority of the time talking about how God calls us to love each other. We do not spend time discussing the past or issues that plague our society today as much as we talk about a proper solution to unite!
Below are just a small few points Dr. King states in his famous speech. These are critical points we as a nation should never forget and as Christian men and women, call out anyone that is treated other than what Dr. King mentions in his speech.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight; "and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together."
And when this happens, and when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual: Free at last! Free at last!Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!
