Paul in his letter to the church that he set up In Corinth, declares that if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation and automatically become an ambassador for Him. Paul shows us that as Christians who are now ambassadors for Christ, God has given us the ministry of reconciliation and sends us out to represent Him and to deliver His message to the world: Come and be reconciled to God through Christ!

In the title “Why do you go?” going is a metaphor for doing any Christian activity, such as praying, worshipping, reading the Bible, going to church, serving on a team, etc. The question gets to the motivation of the individual for engaging (or not) in these activities. God is inviting us to re-evaluate our motivation for why we go and to pray that he would transform our motivation into something of more eternal value.

At the end of our relationships series you may find yourself left with the sense that while you know what God's design is for our relationships, you don't practically see how it works out. The answers are found in God's glorious Church.

The Trans* community are not an issue but a people to be loved! In this message we will look at how we should love and serve people whose experience of their gender doesn’t fit with their biological sex. Exploring the extravagant love of Jesus, we’ll look at how he identifies with all of us fully, honouring God’s good design in creation as well as coming for the hurting and marginalised. We are all called to wait for his coming kingdom where one day our humanity will be totally renewed, and we will made whole in Him.

You are forgiven, therefore do not hide from God; take refuge in God, be lead by God and rejoice in God.

The Christian teaching on sexuality has come under a lot of scrutiny in recent years, with our western culture viewing it as outdated or even potentially harmful. We want to take a look at what God actually says about sex and explore His grand design for our sexuality. Whether you are single or married, gay, straight, or other God has a plan for your life. He promises us that if we put Him first, we will never ultimately be left disappointed. If we allow ourselves to get caught up in His story, we will find that we have both a cross to carry but also rich blessings to be received as His plans for us are good!

Through this story, Jesus shows us how He is the bridegroom we’ve all been waiting for. He is the only one who can fulfil our deepest longings. The true husband the Samaritan woman has been searching for her whole life. If we grasp the truth that Jesus alone has living water to satisfy our souls, only then we can live satisfied lives. If we grasp this truth, then our earthly marriages will be transformed. They will no longer need to carry the load of meeting our deepest needs. Instead through Christ’s love we can tell the world a better story. A bigger story. The story of the ultimate marriage between Christ and His Church.

Much of what we commonly assume about singleness - that it is primarily about the absence of good things like intimacy, family, or meaningful ministry - is either flat-out untrue or, at the very least, shouldn't be true. TO be single, we often think, is to be alone and spiritually hindered. But the Bible paints a very different picture of singleness: it is a positive gift and blessing from God.

This Sunday, we are carrying on our Relationship series as Tim Suffield preaches to us on Friendship, an often overlooked but vital component of our Christian walk.

The parable of the prodigal son is actually a story about two brothers. Jesus is addressing the grumbling Pharisees who are annoyed that Jesus is eating and drinking with tax collectors and sinners (younger brothers). Jesus story then describes the costly, generous love the Father has for BOTH his sons. The younger who receives an extravagant welcome. And the older who is welcome back into the feast. Both sons are lost and the Father’s love for both is costly and generous. The gospel says that whoever we are, everyone is wrong, and everyone is loved. And as we parent our children our job is to pass this extravagant love onto them. Whether our kids are ‘far off’ or ‘close at home’ – they need to know the love of a wonderful Heavenly Father!
