What's wrong with the world? People and what they do would be at least part of most people's answer. So what is God doing about them and how should we view people who don't do what we think they should? The answers from the Bible might surprise us.

Do you prefer a cheap knock-off or the genuine article? Do you want the real thing or a poor imitation? How much more should this apply to God. It makes sense to aim to build our lives on the real God rather than cheap substitutes - even if the real God turns out to be not quite as safe as we like to think.

No one likes having to do as they're told, it's humiliating - we want to make our own decisions, rightly or wrongly. Even many Christians assume that because salvation is a free gift from God it doesn't matter how they live, as long as they 'believe'. So how does the concept of Obedience fit into the message of unearned acceptance by God?

Is it really Christmas already? It only seems like a few weeks since last December! Christmas is a familiar time, with the traditional festivities, food and fun. But is there any more to it than that? Are the traditional stories of Mary, Joseph and the bay Jesus just there to help with the festive feel, or do they tell us something more?
