In Part 4 of "Now What? - Getting through heartache, loss, and hopelessness" Pastor Frank introduces step four to getting through struggle. Many people tend to keep their heads down during hard times; fully focused on their circumstances. What would happen if you lifted up your eyes; "forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead?" The Bible tells us that where there is no vision, the people perish. Learn how to get a vision for you life so that when problems come you won't shaken because you know where you're going.

In part 3 of the series "Now What?" Pastor Bill Lagerquist teaches us why we can have joy in the midst of trials and testing. You'll discover that the secret to having joy in the midst of struggles is to have the right perspective. If we will cling to Jesus and magnify God, praising Him for how great He is, our trials will look small in comparison. Some of the greatest and most inspirational stories have come out of people who chose to push through their problems and remind themselves, "It is well."

The second step to getting through heartache, loss, and hopelessness is to have the right identity. The Bible tells us that we are new creatures in Christ. The old self is gone! Instead of building your identity around your struggles by saying, "my sickness, my anger, my failure, my loss" we can align our identity in Christ by saying, "this isn't like me. It's no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me!"

It was a dark Friday almost 2000 years ago when Jesus, the Son of God, was crucified on the cross at the hands of Roman soldiers and religious leaders. Jesus experienced grief, abandonment, pain, isolation, mockery, and suffering so that we wouldn't have to. We can leave our grievances and offenses at the foot of the cross. Jesus said, "My yoke is easy and my burden is light." He made this possible through the cross and paved a way for life everlasting!
