Surely, as an eight yer old kid, the last thing you'd want is to see your mother taking her last dying breath right in front of your eyes.
Surely, as an eight year old kid, the last thing you'd want is to run away from your own father, and live in the shadows, constantly hiding like a criminal.

But if your name is Wolfgang Goldenleonard, and you were born with yellow eyes and yellow hair as sparkling as a thousand yellow suns, then you know that you are destined for greatness and a glory that will be sung about for a thousand years.
And if your name is Shin Soohyuk, then you know that you have to do anything in your power to take down the mad king-that same king that would do anything in his power to sleep with you, even if that'll cost your life.

When Wolfgang and Shin cross paths for the first time, that'll be the moment the destiny of a Kingdom too long neglected by its rightful monarch will change forever.
