Many of us have an "ego wall" upon which we display our credentials:

diplomas, awards, certificates, and achievements. Paul's opponents are

very proud of their letters of commendation. Paul refuses to compete

with them and states that his credentials are the Corinthian Christians

themselves, the church that he founded. People are our greatest

Paul begins his second letter to the Corinthians in a unique way, asking the church to pray for him to the God of all comfort. This is a remarkable demonstration of vulnerability as Paul is aware that his reputation is under attack in that church. Yet, Paul finds unquenchable comfort in God. Proverbs gives us much practical wisdom about how to make good

decisions, but more importantly, it encourages us to seek wisdom as a

great love. As humans, we can desire the right things for the wrong

reasons. To love wisdom properly is to seek it because it leads us to

Proverbs 3:9-10 encourages us to honor God with our first fruits. When we do so, we gain wisdom through our giving. Speaker: Joe Saubert

Proverbs offers warnings about that stem for the desire for wealth. In Prov 30, the prayer asks for neither poverty nor riches that we would put our trust in God rather than things. Speaker: Ed Ezaki

The Bible talks a lot about money and stewardship of our wealth. And Proverbs gives us 6 principles of prosperity. Although there is no guarantee, wise application of these principles will put our financial lives in order and help us to prosper the right way. Speaker: Ed Ezaki
