If all our resources would dry up, if all the brooks, if all the rivers and streams ran dry, there will always be one for Elijah. And if that one brook should dry up as well, God can still preserve him and will give a place of sustenance -- And God is still able to do that to His people today.

God is able to command all creatures and make them all obedient to His will. The ravens did not hesitate, they did not object at all when God had them bring Elijah bread and meat in the morning and in the evening. They absolutely submitted to God's sovereign will and they were diligent and glad to obey. God is able to supply our basic needs. But even then, even if we are destitute, the believer still have the hope of eternal life.

God did not consider it too low for Him to be engaged in the work of comforting His people. He sometimes uses instruments, but all real comfort to a broken heart must come directly from God Himself. He doesn't send someone else to do it, but he said, "I will comfort you." It must be God's work. He must do it Himself.

Disappointments are inevitable, we need to choose to be confident in Christ. We don't allow disappointments, or calamities or even a pandemic to discourage us. You choose not to be disheartened. Find reasons to be encouraged. We don't allow disappointments to impede us from becoming everything that God created us to be.
