In this episode, we look at the conscience. We look at what scripture tells us about the six different states of the conscience. We look at a good, defiled, weak, evil, seared, and pure and clear conscience. We look at how we get into each state, how we know if we’re in that state and what we can do about it so that we can have a good, cleansed conscience before God!
In this episode we look at the fruits of repentance. We look at what flows from Godly sorrow and repentance. We look at how we need to allow the Holy Spirit to use our moments of repentance to lead us into greater things as we’re to not only turn from sin but hate sin and zealously pursue what’s good and righteous! God is calling us to bear fruit that remains!
In this episode, we look at Lydia's story. We look at the course of her life and her origins to see what lessons we can take from her and the conversion she underwent when she encountered Christ down by the river while praying. We look at how her story reflects her own and how the same change that took place in our heart needs to be in evidence in our life too. We look how she inspires us to cultivate radical generosity and hospitality in our life. We need to allow the Lord to use us just like He used Lydia!
In this episode, we look at how the Lord opened Lydia's heart apart from any doing of her own and how that parallels our role in the new birth. We look at how being born again reflects our natural birth. We then look at the wind and how it's symbolic of the way of God and of the redeemed believer. We also look at how the wind itself testifies to irrefutable evidence that our God is real and active in this world! When we look at Lydia's life we see our own story!
In this episode we look at how the Lord in both the Old and New Testaments is called holy, holy, holy. We see what this reveals about His nature and character. We also look at how Isaiah handled being in the presence of a perfectly holy God. Through seeing his reaction we can learn what we need to do ourselves!
In this episode we look at the baker and the butler that were locked away with Joseph in prison. We see how they foreshadowed Jesus and more specifically communion. We look at the significance of each of their dreams as it relates to this foreshadowing. We also look at how their fate shows not only the fate of Christ but also what we need to do in our life as followers of Christ!
In this episode we look at the special anointing and power found in praying together with our fellow believers. We look at the unique power that can be found in the unity of the church and how that affects our spiritual warfare. We look at why the Lord tells us that He’s in the midst of us when two or three of us come together and why we pray in His Name!
In this episode we look at the command of the Lord and the misconceptions surrounding it. We look at what exactly we mean by ‘perfect’ and what that entails for our daily life. We look at how the Lord is looking for us to grow and mature in our faith as we continually strive to become more and more like Christ. As we live out this command, following the Lord, He leads us to become the person He’s desiring for us to become!
In this episode we look at how David’s battle against Goliath the giant closely parallels the spiritual warfare that we’re currently engaged in. We look at what lessons we can take from David’s warfare and how we can apply them in our daily life so we can overcome the giant we’re facing. We also look at the need to do as David did and play offense and come against the enemy first, taking back ground for the Lord as we seek to actively advance the Kingdom of God!
In this episode, we look at the formation of covenants at wells throughout scripture. We look at the marriage of Isaac and Rebekah and how it has unique and important similarities for the meeting of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4.
