In Matthew 16 we read of Jesus question to disciples, which we all need to answer- “Who do you say that I am?”  We also explore the significance of where Jesus asked this question and Peter’s response. 

Bartimaeus encounters Jesus on the way out of Jericho to Jerusalem. Hindered by blindness, cultural limitations, and the noise of society, Bartimaeus had every reason to not pursue Healing. But Jesus sees Bartimaeus, and Bartimaeus encounters the Rabbi who heals.

The disciple Thomas is often called “doubting Thomas,” but as we hear at the end of John 13 we realize Thomas was listening to Jesus. Jesus says there is a place he is going that we cannot go now. Where is that?
