Tonight was the night the victorious Senior and Minor Hurling teams came to celebrate in Kinvara and brought along the Liam McCarthy cup!

The Liam McCarthy Cup comes back to Kinvara. Colm Callanan & Conor Whelan brought the cup back to Kinvara.

Galway Captain David Burke and members of the Senior Galway Team, accompanied by the Minors with the Irish Press Cup. Relive the sounds of the evening as the teams were welcomed by Kinvara GAA Chair Garret Byrne, MC for the night was Derek Smith. Gaillimh Abú!

There’s news of an animated film ‘Loving Vincent’ – dedicated to the life and work of Van Gogh, and – also at the Eye Cinema – an encore performance by Benedict Cumberbatch as ‘Hamlet’ on 5 October. Instead of the poem this week, listen to Richard E Grant’s rendition of ‘What a piece of work is a man’ (Hamlet), in the closing scene of ‘Withnail & I’. (Filmed in a downpour at the Zoo).

We have details of a new dance/cello collaboration between Jean butler & Neil Martin. Finally, there’s an instrumental version of a well -loved modern song – from Galway-based ConTempo Quartet.
