Individuals must get screened for lung cancer even if they have never smoked, especially if they have a family history of the disease, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi has urged. 

The risk also increases for people who are aged 50 years or more, and for those who are exposed to second-hand smoke, although the risk is highest for smokers, the hospital said in a statement issued for Lung Cancer Awareness Month, which is November.

Changes in the minimum salary requirements have caused a spike in demand for Golden Visa Applications in the UAE.

Ever since the UAE decreased the salary requirement for Golden Visas for skilled professionals, the demand for the long-term residency has skyrocketed. Arabian Business Centre (Amer Centre – Sheikh Zayed Road) in Dubai has been issuing about 30-40 Golden Visas daily since the scheme was expanded back in October.

Used electric cars are being sold for more than new vehicles as UAE demand soars

Demand for EV's is so high in the UAE that many cars are being sold second-hand for more than the owner originally paid for them. 

The new Tesla Model 3, which is one of the most popular electric vehicles on sale in the UAE, has a starting price of just under Dh185,000 for the standard range model.

UAE announces new VAT exemptions from January 1 2023.

The UAE’s Ministry of Finance (MOF) on Thursday said director services undertaken by natural persons serving as members of boards at entities and institutions across the UAE will not be subject to value-added tax (VAT) from January 1, 2023.

The ambitious Emirates Lunar Mission (ELM) of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) is set to launch on November 28 at the earliest, at 3.46 AM U.S. Eastern Standard Time/12.46 PM UAE Time. The above dates and times are subject to change depending on weather and other conditions. 

Emirates Lunar Mission has a confirmed date and landing site on the Moon's Surface. The Rashid Rover to launch on November 28.

Companies in the UAE with 50 or more employees are mandated to annually raise their Emiratization rate by 2 per cent of overall skilled jobs.

By the end of this year, 2 per cent of a company’s skilled staff must be Emiratis. This must increase by 2 per cent every year, to reach 10 per cent by 2026.
