Chef Lioness Hear her roar! Chef Lioness (Jennifer Corporan) talks at the Island about her transition from Human Services into the culinary world. Chef’s culinary juices were inspired by her Moms authentic Dominican home cooking. Realizing those meals of Love were her true passion, she began to develop the Chef Lioness brand. She was just named Deli Influencer by the New York Post! Hear her roar…not so! She took the quarantine as her time to be intentional, develop coping skills and culinary knowledge. Ahhhhh….. the birth of Cooking with Lioness-therapeutic virtual culinary classes and online Dance therapy sessions. The KIT Divas are around the Kitchen Island, spilling the tea, with returning Co-host Mauri and thriving Breast Cancer Survivors Janet and Toya. We are back at the Island with the latest news, sports, etc. But we want you to come to the Island and meet Andres, who is an achiever on the Autism spectrum.  He reveals "What Autism Can Do",  with hard work, family and "It Takes a Village" support. Andres shares, with pride, his many educational and work accomplishments. He's worked at Order Up, The Witte Museum and a State Reps office. Andres lets us know he could not have done it without his Mom, Dad and twin brother Pedro and so many mentors, including his high school job coach. His great memory skills and ability to have lots of patience are due to the Coach.  After chatting with this 26 year old, the ladies at the Island know he will show even more of  "What Autism Can Do".  Andres is continuing his education at Palo Alto College and preparing for his new job, with a software company. Andres' advice:  Learn something everyday and don't be afraid of trying new things.

Gloria starts our conversation fondly reminiscing and paying homage to her 1st Grade teacher, Mrs. Dorothy Collins. Mrs. Collins was the plus to Gloria's PhD -teacher, Mom, who stressed education daily. When asked about todays tragedies in schools and everyday places, Gloria took Real Talk to Education and changes that are necessary to protect our children. On a lighter note, When asked, How did you do all that you've done? Gloria just shared her motto for growth and success: "Sharpen Your Tools!"
