Jesse Knutson, Head of Operations at Bitfinex Securities, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris to discuss how tokenization could open a new capital route for mining and commodity companies after Bitfinex Securities facilitated a US$50 million raise for Alkemya Metacore.
The raise, the largest to date on the Bitfinex Securities platform, will help Alkemya commercialize ultra-high-purity nickel wire for semiconductors, aerospace, defense and advanced manufacturing. Knutson says tokenization applies the technology behind Bitcoin and digital assets to capital markets, creating a system designed to be cheaper, faster and more transparent. He explains what investors receive, how tokenized securities can trade, and why whitelisted ecosystems are used to meet qualified-investor and jurisdictional rules.
Knutson also discusses how tokenization could bring new sources of capital into mining and commodities, which he frames as part of the broader real-world-assets shift. He says investor interest is coming from crypto high-net-worth investors, family offices, and institutions that move between traditional finance and digital assets. Knutson also explains why El Salvador’s framework was used, what products could come next, and why 24/7 trading, real-time settlement, and peer-to-peer transfers could shape the future of global markets.

Rick Rule, President and CEO of Rule Investment Media, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris to discuss gold’s breakout, silver’s leverage, record copper prices, and why mining investors should focus on the gap between price and value.
Rule says gold remains sensitive to U.S. real and nominal interest rates in the near term, but longer term he expects artificially low rates and quantitative easing to support the metal. He says silver can take leadership when gold momentum attracts generalist investors, while copper’s record run reflects years of underinvestment in exploration, development and productive capacity, alongside supply problems at major operations.
Rule also weighs Ivanhoe Mines’ Western Forelands copper discovery in the Democratic Republic of Congo, including its grade, 100% ownership and access to existing infrastructure. He says host countries can ultimately capture about 50% of a deposit’s economic value after capital is returned, and argues streaming agreements could help governments participate in price upside while giving companies clearer terms. Rule also discusses why North America is not immune from fiscal risk, what gold-equivalent resources can obscure after Collective Mining’s maiden resource at Guayabales, and why investors must separate market price from underlying value. “Money is made on the delta between price and value,” he said.

Richard Williams, Executive Chairman of Bunker Hill Mining, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris to discuss Bunker Hill’s Silver47 takeover, a US$163 million all-share deal aimed at turning its Idaho mine restart into a broader “made in America” silver and critical minerals platform.
Williams says the deal combines Bunker Hill’s mine, which is ramping toward commercial production by year-end, with Silver47’s assets in Alaska, New Mexico and Nevada. The combined company, to be renamed Bunker Hill Silver, will hold four U.S. silver projects with about 390 million ounces of silver equivalent resources. “Opportunity doesn’t wait for anybody,” Williams said.
Williams also explains how the Cate-8 discovery and planned second portal could lift grade, increase throughput to 2,500 tons per day and support stronger 2027 guidance. He says future mine cash flow could fund exploration at Red Mountain, Mogollon and Tonopah while limiting repeated equity raises. Williams also discusses U.S. Ex-Im Bank support, Idaho’s Silver Valley, Teck’s Trail smelter, North American trade risk, near-term liquidity, the developer-to-producer transition, and why fixing the silver loan is the “catalyst of all catalysts.”

Michael Rowley, President and CEO of Stillwater Critical Minerals, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris to discuss how US$150 billion in pledged drone and counter-drone spending is sharpening the race for critical minerals, domestic supply chains and U.S.-based mining projects.
Rowley says geopolitics are changing the market for metals used in drones, robotics, defense systems and advanced manufacturing. “Price is not the only factor anymore,” he said, pointing to rising U.S. government support through funding, permitting help and Defense Production Act tools. Stillwater West sits in Montana’s producing Stillwater district and hosts 10 U.S.-listed critical commodities, including nickel, copper, cobalt, platinum, palladium, rhodium and chromium.
Rowley also outlines Stillwater West’s updated resource, which now totals 805 million tonnes grading 0.34% total nickel equivalent and includes the project’s first indicated resource. He says scale is the key takeaway, but the company is shifting toward infill drilling, higher-confidence resources and a PEA within 12 to 18 months. Rowley also discusses chromium upside, rhodium’s value, Sibanye’s nearby infrastructure, Glencore’s role, hydrometallurgy and upcoming drill results.

Gold is above $4,000 and silver in the $60s, yet Empress Royalty Executive Chairman David Rhodes says the recent pullback is exactly when disciplined royalty buyers should be shopping.
Rhodes joins Kitco Mining's Kitco Spotlight with Jeremy Szafron at the Rule Symposium 2026 in Boca Raton to explain the small-stream niche Empress built its business on: $20 to $30 million financings on near-term producing assets that the major royalty players are too big to chase.
He discusses why Empress deliberately stayed on the sidelines for roughly 18 months as prices ran up, how the correction has reset seller valuations back to more realistic levels, and why he underwrites deals on long-term metal prices rather than spot. Rhodes also covers Empress's path from startup to a cash-flow-positive balance sheet, its preference for holding physical gold and silver, its appetite for higher-risk jurisdictions, and a new AI platform that surfaces overlooked royalties competitors never see.

Silver has been cut in half from its highs, but Blackrock Silver CEO Andrew Pollard says the long-term thesis has not changed. Pollard joins Kitco Mining’s Kitco Spotlight with Paul Harris to discuss silver’s correction, structural deficits, and why high-grade projects can stand out in volatile markets. “High-grade stories are all-weather,” Pollard said.
The focus is Blackrock Silver’s 100%-owned Tonopah West silver-gold project in Nevada’s Walker Lane. The company’s March 2026 PEA outlined average annual production of 7.1 million ounces silver equivalent over more than 11 years, with all-in sustaining costs of $7.44 per ounce and initial capital of $190 million.
Pollard discusses Blackrock’s path toward development, including a planned exploration decline in Q3 2027, a minimum 50,000 tons of high-grade ore in 2028, private-land permitting advantages, potential non-dilutive U.S. government funding, the build-or-takeout question, and 800-meter step-outs that could test the next phase of resource growth.

Silvercorp Metals (TSX: SVM; NYSE American: SVM) President Lon Shaver joins Kitco Mining’s Kitco Spotlight with Paul Harris to discuss silver’s volatile run, the company’s low-cost China operations, and its plan to grow across Ecuador and Kyrgyzstan.
Shaver said silver’s pullback should be viewed against the scale of the move that came before it, with the metal still trading near $60 per ounce after roughly doubling from early 2025 levels. “This is a great time to be a silver producer at $60 silver,” he said.
Silvercorp produced 6.8 million ounces of silver and 7.5 million ounces of silver equivalent in fiscal 2026, which ended March 31, at an all-in sustaining cost of $14.25 per ounce. Shaver outlines how the company is funding growth beyond China, including El Domo and Condor in Ecuador, as well as the Tulukbash and Kyzyl Tash gold projects in Kyrgyzstan.
Shaver also discusses Silvercorp’s planned Hong Kong listing, emerging market valuation discounts, project financing, M&A strategy, New Pacific Metals, and key catalysts for 2026 and 2027.

Mackay Gold & Silver (TSXV: MACK; OTCQB: MKGSF) CEO and Director Darwin Green joins Kitco Mining’s Kitco Spotlight with Paul Harris to discuss Mackay’s recent IPO, its $60 million financing, and its first major drill program in Nevada’s historic Comstock District.
Mackay is targeting the Occidental-Brunswick Lode, a 3-mile structure running parallel to the historic Comstock Lode. Green said fragmented ownership left the district underexplored for more than a century, creating an opportunity to apply modern drilling to one of America’s most famous gold-silver camps.
Green outlines Mackay’s 20,000-meter Phase 1 drill program, which began in June, including 15,000 meters of RC drilling focused on near-surface oxide gold-silver mineralization and 5,000 meters of core drilling testing deeper potential near the historic Sutro Tunnel. He also discusses the company’s land consolidation strategy, remaining treasury of more than $40 million USD, and first assay results expected in late summer.

Nicole Adshead-Bell, Director of Cupel Advisory, joins Kitco Mining’s Digging Deep with Paul Harris to discuss gold M&A, Barrick Mining restructuring speculation, activist pressure at Northern Star Resources, rising copper prices, and capital deployment across the mining sector.
Adshead-Bell says potential restructuring at Barrick, Elliott Investment Management’s pressure at Northern Star, and Zijin Gold’s delayed Allied Gold acquisition point to a market demanding simpler stories, stronger execution, and better accountability. She said mining boards need the technical expertise to challenge management, while producers must rebuild trust with investors. “Do what you say you're going to do,” she said.
The discussion also covers gold producer expansion plans, the risk of cost inflation as miners deploy cash, copper M&A in Quebec and Chile, and why Adshead-Bell believes copper may need to move toward $7 to $8/lb before major new supply commitments are made. She also explains why higher metals prices are changing the true cost of streams, prepays and hedges.

Kootenay Silver (TSXV: KTN; OTCQX: KOOYF) President and CEO Jim McDonald joins Kitco Mining’s Kitco Spotlight with Jeremy Szafron to discuss the company’s June 15, 2026 preliminary economic assessment for its 100%-owned La Cigarra silver project in Chihuahua, Mexico.
The study outlines a 14-year open-pit project with a $763 million after-tax NPV, 41% after-tax IRR, $332 million in initial capital, and a 1.9-year payback. McDonald said the PEA marks a major shift for Kootenay, stating that it is “transitioning us from explorer into a developer.”
McDonald also discusses the potential upside at spot silver prices, where La Cigarra’s after-tax NPV rises to $1.295 billion and its IRR increases to 64%. He also outlines the next phase of drilling at La Cigarra and Columba, the project’s position in Mexico’s Parral mining district, potential strategic options, and why he believes silver has entered a multi-year bull market.
