  • Collective Targets 5–7 Moz Resource After Major Ramp Intercept | Ari Sussman

Collective Mining (TSX: CNL; NYSE American: CNL) Executive Chair Ari Sussman joins Kitco Mining’s Investment Trends with Paul Harris to discuss new high-grade drilling from the Ramp Zone at the Guayabales Project in Colombia and the path toward a maiden resource in the first half of 2027.

On February 24, 2026, the company reported 54.55 metres grading 7.04 g/t gold and 16 g/t silver from hole APC150-D1, with assay results pending for another 370.25 metres. Sussman said it is “the first time we’ve drilled a ramp from the south in a northeastern direction,” a shift he believes is confirming continuity along the breccia margins. Collective has confirmed 315 metres of high-grade mineralization along the outer southeast margin, with roughly 1,200 metres of additional breccia circumference still to be tested. Visual logging from the first western breccia hole intersected at least 20 metres of Ramp-style mineralization, with assays expected in late March 2026.

Sussman said the company is “hoping to drill somewhere between five to 7 million ounces in our maiden resource” while advancing what he called its largest drill year ever at up to 100,000 metres in 2026. He also addresses drilling at San Antonio, tungsten prices up north of 500% over the past 12 months, investor focus on Colombia’s upcoming presidential election, and why he believes major producers face long-term growth challenges that could drive future M&A.

  • LunR Royalties Secures $670M Silver Stream on Fruta del Norte | Adam Lundin

LunR Royalties (TSXV: LUNR) has announced a $670 million life-of-mine silver stream on Lundin Gold’s Fruta del Norte mine in Ecuador, a deal that delivers immediate precious metals cash flow to the recently listed royalty company. Speaking with Kitco Mining at the 35th BMO Global Metals, Mining & Critical Minerals Conference in Florida, CEO Adam Lundin described the structure as “a very elegant way to get cash flow into Lunar,” with approximately 50 million LunR shares issued to Lundin Gold for distribution to its shareholders.

The stream provides exposure to more than 500,000 ounces of annual silver production, closely aligned with Lundin Gold’s roughly 500,000 ounces of gold output. The transaction increases LunR’s free float, introduces Newmont as a major shareholder with board representation, and positions the company within the underrepresented $1 billion to $10 billion royalty gap. A shareholder vote is required to complete the transaction as LunR scales into a cash-flowing precious metals platform.

  • B2Gold Founder Clive Johnson to Step Down as CEO in June

B2Gold (NYSE American: BTG; TSX: BTO) founder Clive Johnson will retire as President and CEO at the company’s annual meeting on June 4, ending a two-decade run that built the miner into a 1 million ounce per year gold producer. Speaking with Kitco Mining at the 35th BMO Global Metals, Mining & Critical Minerals Conference in Florida, Johnson said it was “a good time to look at passing the baton.” CFO Mike Cinnamond will succeed him, with Johnson remaining as chair emeritus.

The transition comes as B2Gold ramps up the Goose mine in Nunavut, where crushing circuit modifications are underway as production moves toward design capacity. The company forecasts 2026 production between 820,000 and 970,000 ounces, with output expected to return to 2025 levels by 2027. In Mali, a regional permit at Fekola is expected shortly and could add 180,000 ounces per year.

Johnson said B2Gold is “clearly undervalued” and must “get value for the existing assets” before pursuing acquisitions.

Ammar Al-Joundi, President and CEO of Agnico Eagle Mines (NYSE: AEM; TSX: AEM), says the company is in its strongest financial position after a record 2025. Speaking with Kitco Mining at the 35th BMO Global Metals, Mining & Critical Minerals Conference in Florida, Al-Joundi highlighted roughly $4.4 billion in free cash flow, about $950 million in debt repayment, and $1.4 billion returned to shareholders in 2025.

“Our job is to give them as much of that increase as possible,” he said, adding Agnico delivered “over 95%” of the gold price increase to its owners through cost discipline and operating performance.

Looking ahead, Al-Joundi outlined a plan to increase production 20 to 30% over the next decade, targeting more than 4 million ounces annually in the early 2030s, with growth anchored by Detour Lake, Canadian Malartic, Hope Bay, and Upper Beaver. He said the company expects to make a go-ahead decision on Hope Bay in May and plans to return about 40% of free cash flow to shareholders this year while maintaining full exposure to gold prices.

  • $250B Copper Shortfall Forces New Era of Streaming Deals | Rick Rule

Rick Rule, President and CEO of Rule Investment Media, joins Kitco Mining’s Digging Deep with Paul Harris to break down what he sees as a structural capital crunch in copper and a turning point in mine finance. Rule says “the copper industry requires at least $250 billion in capital expenditure over the next 10 years to maintain current levels of output,” arguing that traditional funding sources are falling short.

He explains why Wheaton Precious Metals’ $4.3 billion silver stream with BHP, announced February 17, 2026, may signal a new era of mega-deals, and how royalty and streaming companies could further lower their cost of capital through long-dated bonds backed by existing streams. On Lundin and BHP’s Vicuña project, following the integrated PEA released February 17, 2026, Rule says if the “most exciting copper discovery on the planet” struggles to meet hurdle rates, it may point to copper’s true incentive price.

Rule also contrasts what he calls “the best permitting environment that we've seen in the last 30 years” at the US federal level with the latest legal setback for Alaska’s Pebble project, including a Department of Justice brief filed February 16, 2026.

In this interview, Rick Rule also discusses:

  • Goldstorm Launches 3,000 m Drill Program on 1.2 km Anomaly | Ken Konkin

Goldstorm Metals (TSXV: GSTM) President and CEO Ken Konkin joins Kitco Mining’s Investment Trends with Paul Harris to outline the company’s 2026 drill campaign in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle, targeting a large copper-gold-silver system along the same regional trend that hosts KSM, Treaty Creek, and Brucejack. Konkin says the focus is a 1.2 km IP chargeability anomaly on the Orion Spine, adding, “we're after the elephant here, not the, not the mink or the fox here, we're after the elephant.”

Goldstorm plans a 3,000 m first-pass program this summer to test what Konkin described as “a large 1 billion ton target,” with success defined as intercepting “0.3% copper, say a gram gold over hundreds of meters.” He also pointed to historic drilling on trend that returned “222 meters of 0.9 gold.”

Beyond the deep porphyry target, Konkin highlighted high-grade gold-silver upside at Delta West, including surface samples up to 39.9 grams gold. With over $1 million in treasury and what he called “a very safe geopolitical arena,” he argues the region remains underappreciated, adding, “This is truly a silver belt as much as it is a gold belt.”

  • Newcore Gold Pushes Enchi Forward as Exploration Upside Grows | Luke Alexander

Newcore Gold (TSXV: NCAU) President and CEO Luke Alexander joins Kitco Mining’s Investment Trends with Paul Harris at VRIC 2026 to discuss advancing the Enchi gold project in Ghana’s Bibiani Shear Zone and how higher gold prices are shaping development decisions across Africa.

Alexander says the company has expanded drilling to 45,000 m but is “still just scratching the potential across our entry project,” with more than 25 targets identified and only nine drilled so far. Recent high-grade results, including visible gold, are helping validate the geological model and support the potential for feeder zones similar to those that have driven significant resource growth at other major Ghanaian gold mines.

Looking ahead to a pre-feasibility study targeted for June 2026, Alexander outlines how optimization work and a higher gold price environment could improve project economics. He explains that for every $100 move in the gold price, the project’s after-tax net present value increases by roughly $50 million, highlighting the leverage embedded in Enchi beyond the assumptions used in the 2024 preliminary economic assessment.

The discussion also covers warrant expiry on Feb. 27, 2026, funding for expanded drilling, and the potential for a rerating as Enchi advances toward development and a possible production decision by 2029.

  • Silver’s Breakout Is Reshaping Silver Valuations | Jim McDonald

Kootenay Silver (TSXV: KTN; OTCQX: KOOYF) President and CEO Jim McDonald joins Kitco Mining’s Investment Trends with Paul Harris to explain why the silver bull market is forcing a rethink on valuations and why developers with scale are positioned for a catch-up move. McDonald says Kootenay’s approach is to build value by de-risking its assets while keeping strategic options open, adding, “we aim to be a seller.”

McDonald discusses progress at the Columba Project in Chihuahua, Mexico, where Kootenay delivered a maiden inferred resource of 54 Moz silver grading 284 g/t and is drilling 50,000 m to expand wide, high-grade zones. He explains how vein thickness underpins project economics, noting, “The better the width, the lower that your cost.” The interview also highlights Kootenay’s pipeline of more than 300 Moz of silver equivalent across four deposits, the company’s strong capital position, and La Cigarra as a near-term inflection point, with a PEA expected in Q2 2026 that could mark its transition from explorer to developer as M&A interest builds in the silver sector.

  • Thesis Gold Lays Out Feasibility and Permitting Timeline | Ewan Webster

Thesis Gold (TSXV: TAU; OTCQX: THSGF) President and CEO Ewan Webster joins Kitco Mining’s Investment Trends with Paul Harris to discuss advancing the Lawyers-Ranch gold-silver project in British Columbia’s Toodoggone District following a pre-feasibility study released in December. Webster said, “We really wanted to let the project speak for itself, and I think it very much did that.”

The PFS outlines a 15-year mine averaging about 187,000 oz of gold equivalent per year at an all-in sustaining cost of roughly $1,185 per oz, based on conservative metal prices. Webster explains how grade, mine sequencing, and a brownfield development profile drive the project’s economics and leverage to today’s gold and silver market.

Webster also outlines the path toward feasibility in the second half of 2027 and a potential construction decision in late 2028, noting that permitting began in December and is budgeted at roughly three years. On the broader opportunity, he said the Toodoggone is “the most exciting exploration district in Canada, if not North America at the moment.”

The discussion also touches on Centerra Gold’s 9.9% strategic equity stake and First Nations participation as equity investors as Thesis Gold continues to de-risk toward development.

  • Discovery Silver Lays Out Path to 500K–750K Gold Ounces | Mark Utting

Mark Utting, Senior Vice President of Investor Relations at Discovery Silver, joins Kitco Mining to explain how the company is generating gold cash flow in Canada while advancing one of the world’s largest undeveloped silver projects in Mexico.

Discovery produced more than 66,000 ounces of gold in Q4 2025 and about 180,000 ounces from the April acquisition close through year end at the Porcupine complex in Northern Ontario. With more than $410 million in cash, no debt, and access to a $250 million revolving credit facility, the company is reinvesting cash flow to scale production toward 500,000 to 750,000 ounces per year over the next three to five years.

A key catalyst is the potential restart of the historic Dome Mine, which hosts an estimated 11 million ounces of gold in resources and could add 200,000 to 250,000 ounces of annual production. Utting also provides an update on the Cordero silver project in Mexico, including permitting progress and Discovery’s focus on minimizing dilution. “We give dual exposure on the precious metal side,” Utting said.
