Story Transcript:

Ar: في صباح مشمس من أيام عيد الفطر، اعتلى زيد وحلا وليث سطح مدرسة الأزهر الثانوية.
En: On a sunny morning during the days of Eid al-Fitr, Zaid, Hala, and Laith climbed up to the roof of Al-Azhar Secondary School.

Ar: كان السطح واسعًا ومن فوقه يمكنهم رؤية شوارع القاهرة المزدحمة.
En: The rooftop was spacious, and from there they could see the busy streets of Cairo.

Ar: الأضواء الزاهية والمزينة للعيد كانت تلمع في الأفق، ورائحة الكعك والفتة كانت تصل إلى أنوفهم.
En: The bright, festive lights decorated for the holiday sparkled on the horizon, and the smell of ka'ak and fatta reached their noses.

Ar: زيد، برؤيته المتفائلة، قال: "لنصنع طائرة ورقية ونطيرها من هنا، سيكون عيدًا لا ينسى!"
En: Zaid, with his optimistic vision, said, "Let's make a kite and fly it from here; it will be an unforgettable Eid!"

Ar: حلا نظرت إليه بعينين مليئتين بالتحذير، "زيد، الرياح ليست بهذه القوة اليوم. هل تعتقد أنها ستطير؟"
En: Hala looked at him with caution in her eyes, "Zaid, the wind isn't that strong today. Do you think it will fly?"

Ar: أما ليث فقال: "فكرة زيد دائمًا غريبة، لكن لماذا لا نحاول؟"
En: As for Laith, he said, "Zaid's ideas are always strange, but why don't we give it a try?"

Ar: بدأوا بصنع الطائرة الورقية من بعض الأكياس والأعواد.
En: They started making the kite from some bags and sticks.

Ar: كان زيد يضيف زينة من شرائط ملونة ليجعلها تتلألأ تحت الشمس.
En: Zaid added decorations of colorful ribbons to make it sparkle under the sun.

Ar: لكن، كانت الطائرة الورقية معقدة وترتبك بسهولة.
En: However, the kite was complicated and got tangled easily.

Ar: حلا، بعقلها العملي، حذرت: "زيزيد، الطائرة مربوطة بشكل خطير، لندع الأمر!"
En: Hala, with her practical mind, warned, "Zaid, the kite is dangerously tied; let's leave it!"

Ar: لكن زيد كان متحمسًا.
En: But Zaid was enthusiastic.

Ar: بدأ بتعديلها على السطح، رغم اعتراضات حلا وتحذيرات ليث.
En: He began adjusting it on the rooftop, despite Hala's objections and Laith's warnings.

Ar: بعد جهد وتجارب، انطلقت الطائرة الورقية أخيرًا باتجاه السماء.
En: After effort and attempts, the kite finally launched towards the sky.

Ar: لكنها لم تذهب بعيدًا قبل أن تتعلق بمئذنة قريبة.
En: But it didn't go far before it got caught on a nearby minaret.

Ar: تبادل الثلاثة نظرات دهشة ثم انفجروا في الضحك.
En: The three exchanged looks of astonishment and then burst into laughter.

Ar: أخذوا صورة جماعية مع الطائرة العالقة في الخلفية.
En: They took a group photo with the kite stuck in the background.

Ar: قال ليث بابتسامة: "في بعض الأحيان، الفشل هو أفضل جزء من المغامرة."
En: Laith said with a smile, "Sometimes, failure is the best part of the adventure."

Ar: جلسوا بعد ذلك متكئين على السطح، يتناولون بعض الحلوى ويستمتعون باللعب والحديث، متناسين الطائرة الورقية.
En: They then sat back on the rooftop, eating some sweets, enjoying playing and chatting, forgetting about the kite.

Ar: تعلم زيد أن الفرح لا يكمن في النجاح دائمًا، بل في المحاولة والضحك مع الأصدقاء.
En: Zaid learned that joy doesn't always lie in success, but in trying and laughing with friends.

Ar: وفي نهاية اليوم، أدركوا أن عيدهم كان مميزًا حقًا، ليس بسبب الطائرة، بل بسبب الذكريات التي خلقوها معًا.
En: By the end of the day, they realized their Eid was truly special, not because of the kite but because of the memories they created together.
