At NAB this year, Pliant Technologies will be  highlighting its CCU-08 CrewCom Control Unit. In the West Hall, the recently upgraded version of Xytech’s Media Operations Platform™ will make its public debut, showcasing the latest Granite software advances.

In addition, Newsbridge will demonstrate how it is leading the charge for innovation with new AI- and cloud-based solutions for media asset indexing and archiving. Mediaproxy will demonstrate the latest version of its LogServer compliance monitoring system.

On booth C2416, TSL will be showcasing its modular and scalable approach to building IP environments. Zixi has also announced the exhibition of next-generation live streaming features and functionality on booth 3301.

MrMXF is back on this week's show looking at InSync's latest FrameFormer update.

In other news, Rascular who is continuing the expansion of its NDI® ecosystem with the launch of ViewMaster Pro multiviewer. And, Globecast has been selected by Radio Télévision Sénégalaise (RTS), Senegal public channel, to grow its international presence. Supercars Media and Gravity Media have confirmed a broadcast and technology partnership to deliver coverage of this year’s Repco Supercars Championship across Australia and multiple international territories. 

Red Bee Media has signed a multi-year agreement with RTBF to power its recently re-launched Auvio platform through Red Bee Media’s managed OTT services with live TV and radio, AOD, and VOD capabilities. And, CJP Broadcast Service Solutions has supplied the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) with a comprehensive virtual studio setup.

RED DIGITAL CINEMA® has announced the availability of the V-RAPTOR 8K S35 and V-RAPTOR XL 8K S35 featuring RED’s powerful, new S35 sensor. EMG has announced that it is the first OB specialist to achieve the DPP Committed to Sustainability mark. ATG Danmon also recently completed a TV and radio system modernisation project for a London based university.

TNDV has made its second large capital investment in Sony 4K/HD cameras to support increased demand for Sony-driven 4K workflows and LP:ME, a brand new recording complex in Dubai, has equipped all of its studios with PMC monitoring so that it can deliver outstanding sound quality to its customer base. 

In this week's KitPlusTV News we report on the latest industry updates including news on the upcoming NAB Show taking place from 16 - 19 April in Las Vegas. Firstly, Leader (0:53) and Phabrix products will be on show at NAB in a combined product display, on booth C490. Editshare (1:24) will use NAB to unveil its latest productivity and creativity enhancements on their booth N2100. Farmerswife (1:52) will be showcasing the latest version of the farmerswife tool, as well as the latest updates to its powerful SaaS task and project management solution Cirkus.

On booth W1501, Telestream (2:22) will unveil new product innovations to streamline the creation and production, distribution and monetization of video content. Magewell (2:45) has unveiled a new model in its Eco Capture family of ultra-compact, power-efficient, M.2 video capture cards. Appear (3:11) has launched its hardware accelerated video transport technology over the SRT protocol. Marshall Electronics (3:34) will showcase its CV730-BHN with Full-NDI® and CV730-ND3 with NDI®|HX3 technology at NAB (Booth C5520). And, Comprimato (4:00) will show the latest version of its Live Transcoder software at NAB 2023 (they are in meeting room W2378).

Evertz (5:54) will be attending NAB 2023 with a range of advanced solutions that address the significant changes taking place throughout the media and entertainment industry. 

Moving away from NAB, Ad Insertion Platform (6:45) and Tiledmedia are partnering to give broadcasters, rightsholders and content owners an automated way to seamlessly deliver non-intrusive overlay ads into the video content of video-on-demand (AVOD) and free, ad supported streaming TV (FAST) streams.

PlayBox Technology (7:19) announces a strategic partnership with Global Distribution. The Tiffen Company (7:47) has added two new diffusion effects filters to their renowned line of optical filters. disguise (8:29) and XPLOR has announced a new partnership to further tackle the skills gap in virtual production. And, Amagi (9:12) has announced the creation of 21 new FAST channels for music video brand XITE.

This week on KitPlusTV News, we start off with the latest news on the upcoming NAB Show in Las Vegas, which is taking place from April 15 - 19th... Among the exhibitors, Tedial has announced that its award-winning smartWork cloud-native, NoCode Media Integration Platform will be at NAB with a suite of Package Business Capabilities (PBCs). Cobalt Digital will introduce significant enhancements to additions to its newly launched Sapphire Converter series. InSync Technology is rolling out updated versions of its FrameFormer software to coincide with NAB.

In addition, Shotoku USA has announced that it is launching its latest studio control system at NAB. The award-winning Argo audio mixing control platform from Calrec is making its NAB debut with both the Argo Q and Argo S on display. Tolka will also be promoting its latest broadcast-related products and services.

We are joined with Mr Mxf who talks about the recent news from Globecast - 'Globecast launches 100G fibre network in Europe' and what it really means behind the headline.

Moving on to other news outside of NAB, PlayBox Technology has completed implementation of a scheduling and playlist system for Visjon Norge. Witbe has announced a partnership with T-Mobile NL to support its mission of delivering top-tier service to all its customers. Ateme has announced that its complete live video encoding and delivery suite are now validated cloud-native network functions (CNFs) on Red Hat OpenShift.

Lightware Visual Engineering has some exciting news with the opening of its new Experience Centre in the heart of London. Matthews highlights two rugged and versatile camera support tools that individually solve a world of everyday busy set needs and together form a dynamic camera support duo.

For their most recent tournament, the Elite 1 Caribbean Basketball League utilized a Clear-Com® Encore® Analog Partyline system provided by Clear-Com’s Jamaica-based partner, content creation firm M-One Productions Company Ltd. DoPchoice again comes up with a unique light control solution: this time for combining multiple Astera HydraPanel lights in one softbox.

Spectra Logic (5:23) has announced a modern archive solution for organisations, Densitron (5:55) has announced the sale of its IDS Control System with URready 2RU X86 touchscreen control surface to Asuhirac and Cinegy (6:15) has released Cinegy Air version 22.12, a major upgrade on the current (21.9) version.

Studio Technologies (6:57) has announced the Model 545DC and Model 545DR Intercom Interfaces and CJP Broadcast Service Solutions (7:33) has delivered a complete virtual studio with motion capture facilities for the University of Sunderland.

Emotion Systems (8:12) has addressed the critical challenge of ensuring audio consistency and quality in bulk content ingest. FOR-A (8:34) and automation provider Aveco have entered a strategic alliance to provide video production, automation, and asset management within one easy-to-use and cost effective solution.

In this week's KitPlus TV News we report on... CERTV (0:23) who has chosen Ikegami cameras for use at its headquarters, Ateme’s (0:36) video processing and delivery solutions can now be purchased via the AWS Marketplace and Last Cut Media in Abu Dhabi have selected EditShare (0:56) to implement a comprehensive storage and media management platform.

NAB in Las Vegas in rapidly approaching and LiveU (1:34) will be returning for the 14th year to share ways that customers can reduce production costs, meet the increased demand for quality content and optimize the monetization of their content assets by leveraging cloud-based workflows.

After the successful launch of the HS Series of tripods during 2022, Libec (2:19) has introduced two New Models which are perfect for Mirrorless cameras ranging from 0.8Kg to 2Kg.

Another company heading to NAB is FOR-A Corporation of America (5:38) with a fully NDI®-compatible live video production ecosystem, disguise (6:13) has announced a major upgrade to its Cloud platform and The Video Services Forum (VSF) (6:40) has further enhanced the Reliable Internet Streaming Transport (RIST) protocol with the use of Wireguard VPN in RIST devices.

Kiloview (6:58) has announced Kiloview N6's comeback - a full functional NDI bi-directional converter and Leader Electronics' (7:56) LV5350 waveform monitor will form the test and measurement core of a digital film production system on the Mission stand, 206, at the upcoming BSC Expo 2023.

Zixi (7:25) has announced a partnership with Ant Media, and integration with Ant Media Server (AMS) and Projects Department (8:30), the manufacturer of the Element Tile LED continues to build on customer feedback and have recently shared its plans to launch a further two versions to the range.

Sony is expanding its lineup of cameras with the addition of two 4K models with built-in AI analytics. .

The Sundance Film Festival, was supported by Atomo with on-board monitoring and recording using the Ninja V and ATOMOS CONNECT. KitPlus TV recently became big fans of the ATOMOS CONNECT camera to cloud workflow after using it at ISE 2023. 

disguise has released the latest version of Designer and the Internationale Jänner Rallye, made rally car racing broadcast history this year with help from Dejero’s Smart Blending Technology™ and local technical AV specialist, Professional AV.

TSL is helping broadcasters migrate to IP infrastructures with the introduction of the MPA1-MIX-NET, NewTek has strengthened its line of Control Panels with the all-new Flex and the Santos Tour Down Under cycling race was broadcast live from the sky by Australian aerial filming company Flying Features using LiveU's HD live video transmission and remote production solution.

Vizrt has announced the creation of an Enterprise Media Asset Management (MAM) Business Unit for customers of its flagship MAM system, Viz One and Cinegy has partnered with Pulzar Media.
