In this episode, the main character turns into a cat and explores a cat world. Unfortunately, some sort of portal opens up releasing giant chickens on the cat's yarn castle. It makes total sense... This is how to make it happen! I make these bedtime stories up for my own children every night, so I figured I would record them. They are designed to give your child a simple, but somewhat interesting story to listen to. They are first person stories so kids can imagine themselves in the character’s shoes. They are mostly science fiction and fantasy based, because that’s what my kids like. Each episode is a 10-15 minute story followed by white noise to drown out distractions. The character always ends up back in bed, doing a short mindful relaxation exercise to help them off to sleep (if they aren’t there already). Get those kids to sleep! Most episodes revolve around a kid with a magical spaceship that can transform into anything. He eventually finds a shapeshifting alien dog named changer, and they go on all kinds of adventures, both on earth, and far beyond. There are dinosaurs, dragons, magic, and lots and lots of robots! #Stories #kidsbedtimestories #bedtimestoriesforkids #dinosaurs #dragons #unicorns #magic #bedtimestories Transcript: Hey, everyone. Welcome back to Dad's bedtime Stories for kids. Tonight's episode was inspired by a user suggestion. This one was from the Google form. It comes in from Amy O. From St. Louis, Missouri, I believe. And Amy wrote in and just said, kittens, evil chickens, yarn Castle. So I will be creating that episode in just a moment. Don't forget, if you have an idea for an episode, write to me at dad Bedtime
[email protected]. Or, fill out the Google form, even if you don't have a new idea for an episode. But there's just sort of a planet you want me to revisit or a sequel to one of your favorite episodes to do. You can still fill out the same things and, let me know. I have also been posting some of the, episode transcripts along with some of the, AI inspired artwork on both Facebook and Instagram, as well as my website, I believe, Dadsbedtimestories.com. So if you want to see what a robot thought this story, would look like if it was turned into pictures for a storybook, you can check them out there. Now get as comfy as you can in your bed. Close your eyes and imagine yourself doing what the kid in the story does. Imagine yourself waking up on the bed of spaceship. You get up and look around. Out the window, you can see stars flying by like streaks of light. You're obviously traveling really fast right now. You swing your feet out of the bed, and you get up. You walk out into the main area, and you say, good morning to Spaceship and Changer. Good morning, spaceship. Good morning, Changer. You say. Good morning, Spaceship replies. Changer runs over to you, jumps up on your leg, and begins to bark. You bend down and pet him on the head a little bit. Well, where do you guys want to go today? You ask. I have discovered a feline planet spaceship explains a, what? You ask a, planet full of cats, spaceship responds, well, I guess that seems pretty cool, Changer. Maybe we could transform into cats and go check things out. Changer barks happily, which means, yes, obviously. Spaceship slightly changes direction, leading you to the left of your current course. And after a little bit longer traveling at super Hyperdrive, the spaceship comes to a stop in front of you. You see, a very beautiful earthlike planet, large areas of ocean, huge green continents with fluffy white clouds floating overhead. You go and grab ahold of the controls. You steer the spaceship towards the planet. You pierce through the atmosphere and drop down below the clouds. You look down at the world below. You and you see something that looks like medieval Earth. There's fields and farms, horses and carriages, anything you might imagine. As you lower the spaceship, down closer to the surface and zoom in on the area below, you see that something is actually different. The difference is cats. Instead of this planet being ruled by, well, humans, it seems to be ruled by cats. There's cats driving the carriages, cats leading, the horses plowing fields, and cats sitting on the porch while they watch their workers work. You pass over a group of, well, what look like soldier cats carrying swords and spears, marching down the road in perfect uni. And eventually, you come to a castle or a, giant ball of yarn, or possibly a giant ball of Yarn Castle. This thing is absolutely massive. Around the outside is a huge wall made almost entirely from yarn that seems to be stuck together like concrete in some way. There's little towers, each made out of a giant yarn ball. And on top of each tower is a set of cats holding bows and arrows and binoculars, keeping an eye on the area around them. Inside the yarn wall are a whole bunch of yarn buildings, each one a different size and different color, spotted around the landscape. All of the little yarn buildings lead up to a much bigger yarn building, the Yarn castle. This thing is made up of a whole pile of yarn balls, each stacked perfectly with little doors and little windows cut inside. The yarn seems to be hollow, though little strings seem to hang around here and there. You watch as some of the cat people get a little bit distracted and begin padding at the little yarn pieces. Everyone looks pretty happy. There's kittens playing in the streets, chasing each other around. There's cat merchants and cat street performers, musicians playing on the streets. The place seems very, very happy, like a cat's paradise. Changer. We need to take a closer look. It's time to become cats. Spaceship, find a safe place to land. Understood. Spaceship responds. Spaceship turns invisible and lands in a nearby field. Changer right in front of you immediately transforms into a cat. Although a cat wearing clothing just like the cats on this planet seem to do, you look down at your watch and flip over to the transmorphizing button. You use it to scan changer's DNA, currently in the form of a cat. And then you press the accept button once again, your arms and legs feel like they're melting. And slowly, you imagine yourself becoming a cat. You shrink down. Your arms and legs get smaller. You grow some sort of tail that seems to respond to your mood. Fur grows out of every part of your body, and your sense of smell sight and hearing becomes enhanced. You feel ready to run and pounce at any moment. But you also feel the urge to just kind of lay down and bathe in the sun for long periods of time as well. Being a cat's kind of strange spaceship, you meow open the, meow hatch, you say in the best you can, using your cat voice. The hatch opens up, and you and changer run outside. It's strange to run on all fours, but you feel incredibly agile. You see a tree nearby, and you decide to climb up to get a better look. You jump up towards the trees, spreading your claws out on your arms and your legs. Or what you think of as your arms and your legs. But, in the case of a cat, are all pretty much legs. You grip onto the tree with no problem at all. You climb up to the very top and look out over the landscape. You see the yarn castle in the distance. You get an idea of which direction to travel, and you slowly jump down from branch to branch. You're amazed at how agile you are. It's no problem leaping from place to place and landing perfectly. You then take the last huge leap onto the ground and land perfectly beside Changer. You and Changer run over to a nearby path or road or something like that, and you begin to head towards the Yarn Castle. As you walk, you hear the bumping of a little cart behind you. You and Changer walk over to the side of the road, allowing the person driving the cart to pass. Meow. Hello, the person driving the cart says. What are you doing, Meow? The person asks. we're just trying to get to the yarn village, you say back, also sounding like a cat. But you probably don't want to hear me do that the whole time. Would m you like a ride, meow? The person asks. Sure. you say. You and Changer jump up on the cart. It's full of bales of hay. You each curl up on one of the bales, and you lay down and relax as the cart bumps forward down the road. Being a cat is really comfortable. You find that this bale of hay is just as comfy as any other bed. As the sun beats down on your fur, it just makes you feel more and more relaxed. You bump along, half asleep, passing others, until you arrive at the Yarn castle. The cart stops, and you and changer stand up on all fours. And then you have the incredible urge to stretch your back. You stretch it straight up like an arc. You feel every bit of your spine stretch out and release all tension. It feels amazing. You l
