Story Train: Magical Bedtime Stories for Kids

All aboard the Story Train! Conductor Birdie is taking us through the Rainbow Tunnel and into a peaceful garden where a proud little snail and a generous rose tree see the world in very different ways.

All aboard the Story Train! Today, Birdie takes us high into the sky, where the clouds float like castles and sheep. But one little cloud isn’t feeling so bright—he’s afraid to rain!

All aboard The Story Train! We’re on a street corner. It’s quite cold with the wind starting to whip up, and it looks like every shop on the block is shut down. I wonder if they’re closed for a holiday? Otherwise it would be MOST peculiar for everyone to be indoors. Well, mostly everyone.

Today’s story is about how the true gift of Thanksgiving is giving to others and basking in the wealth of positive relationships!

All aboard the Story Train! Today’s story is takes place in England, the South Downs to be exact. Rolling green fields up and down as far as the eye can see. It’s very peaceful here and there are many small schools dotted about the countryside, filled with students in their uniforms. When the final school bells ring, many of these children walk home from school and enjoy the beautiful paths weaving through the South Downs. I think we’ll settle down on this green patch and look up at the sky for a while.

All aboard the Story Train! Today’s story is about taking more than you meant to, making it right, and growing something bigger than yourself. It’s called Gobbles the Corn Goblin.

All aboard the Story Train! Today, Birdie takes us to a charming colonial porch in autumn, where pumpkins and a little white gourd come to life. When Gordon the gourd feels left out, the Porch Family learns that kindness and inclusion make every season brighter.

All aboard the Story Train! Today, Birdie takes us all the way to Australia to hear a Dreamtime tale that’s been told for generations. Meet Tiddalick, a giant frog with an even bigger thirst, who drinks up all the water in the land!

All aboard the Story Train! Birdie takes us to the lush meadows of Southern England, where a clever fox named Felix discovers a tempting bunch of grapes just out of reach. Through Felix’s struggle, learn an important lesson about honesty, disappointment, and why it’s better to admit how we feel than pretend we never cared.

Today’s story is about this lumpy bumpy creature with a need for speed… and perhaps just a TAD too much drama. It’s inspired by a story from

All aboard the Story Train! Find a comfy seat, we’re about to leave the station and you know what that means, we’re going someplace new!

We’re at a spelling bee…the National Final Spelling Bee held at Cambridge University in fact!

Birdie decided that today’s tale would be the perfect bedtime adventure for her 8 year old friend Penelope, who is sitting in a window seat right beside her mum, Catherine! It’s so much fun to have friends join us on the Story Train. Especially when they help choo choo choose the adventure!
