KJ將Kelly參加讀者劇場的故事,說給大朋友和小朋友們聽
Narrator 1: In Calabria lived a witch called Strega Nona. Whenever the people got sick, they came to see her because she had magic.
Narrator 2: However, she was getting old and needed someone to help her, so she hired Anthony.
Strega Nona: Anthony, you must keep my house and garden. For this, I will give you three coins, a place to sleep, and food to eat.
Anthony: Oh, grazie. I'll never fail you.
Strega Nona: But there's one thing - never touch the pasta pot!
Narrator 3: One evening when Anthony heard Strega Nona singing by the pasta pot.
Strega Nona: Bubble, bubble, Pasta Pot.
Boil me some pasta, nice and hot
I'm hungry, and it's time to sup
Boil me some pasta to fill me up.
Narrator 4: The pasta bubbled and boiled and the pot was suddenly filled with pasta. Then Strega Nona sang.
Strega Nona: Enough, enough, Pasta Pot.
I have my pasta nice and hot.
So simmer down my pot of clay
Till I'm hungry another day.
Anthony: How wonderful! That's a magic pot for sure.
Narrator 1: Strega Nona called Anthony in for supper, but too bad for Anthony because he didn't see Strega Nona blow three kisses to the magic pasta pot.
Narrator 2: The next day Anthony went to the town to tell the people about the pot. Naturally everyone laughed.
Townspeople:That's impossible.
You should go and confess to the priest.
Anthony: I'll show them! Someday I will get the pasta pot and make it cook.
Strega Nona: Anthony, I must go to the next town to see my friend. Do the chores, but remember, don't touch the pasta pot.
Narrator 3: However, after Strega Nona left, Anthony went into the house, put the pasta pot onto the floor, and sang.
Anthony: Bubble, bubble, Pasta Pot.
Boil me some pasta nice and hot.
I'm hungry, and it's time to sup.
Boil me some pasta to fill me up.
Narrator 4: The pot bubbled and boiled and began to fill up with pasta. Anthony ran to the town square.
Anthony: Aha! Everyone get forks, plates, platters, and bowls. Pasta for all at Strega Nona's house.
Narrator 1: Everyone laughed, but they ran home for the tableware. Arriving at Strega Nona's, they saw the pot full of pasta. Anthony scooped out pasta for everyone.
Narrator 2: Some people even came back for more helpings, but the pot was never empty.
Anthony: Enough, Enough. Pasta Pot,
I have my pasta nice and hot
So simmer down, my pot of clay
Till I'm hungry another day.
Narrator 3:Anthony didn't blow the three kisses and didn't know the pasta pot was still bubbling until a woman said.
Woman: Oh, Anthony, look! The pasta is pouring out of the pot!
Narrator 4: Anthony rushed in and shouted the magic words again, but it was in vain.
Take that pot off the floor!
Grab a cover and put it on the pot!
Sit on the pot and stop the pasta!
Narrator 1: However, the pasta raised the cover and Anthony as well and spilled on the floor.
Narrator 2: But the pasta did not stop
Townspeople: Do something Anthony.
Narrator 3: Anthony tried many time but with no luck.
Narrator 4: The pot kept bubbling, and the pasta kept coming!
Townspeople: We are lost! The pasta will cover our town.
Narrator 1: Luckily, Strega Nona came home from her visit. She sang the magic song and blew the three kisses. The pot finally stopped.
Townspeople: Oh, grazie -thank you, thank you Strega Nona.
Narrator 2: The people turned on poor Anthony and cried.
Townspeople: Catch him! String him up!
Strega Nona: Wow, wait. The punishment must fit the crime. Anthony, you wanted pasta from my pot and I want to sleep in my bed, so start eating.
All: And he did - poor Anthony!
