Husker volleyball dodges another injury scare as Teraya Sigler is expected to return next week after a leg injury against Missouri. NU is still unbeaten and takes on Ohio State Saturday night.

Lincoln Arneal, co-host of Volleyball State and Husker volleyball writer at Huskers Illustrated, joins the guys live from Las Vegas where Nebraska will play UNLV and Texas this weekend. Lincoln gives his thoughts on NU's sweeps of Florida and SMU in the Spikes Under the Lights event on Thursday.

Cole & Nate then preview the football season with some player picks, and then game-by-game predictions for the season.

Mike Schaefer, co-host of Happer & Schaefer on 1620 the Zone, joins the guys and talks about the media consensus on Matt Rhule, his level of confidence in the three levels of the defense, and what he's watching for in the first five games of the season.

Cole & Nate then talk volleyball, as their season gets underway Thursday in Arlington, TX at the "Spikes Under the Lights" event. They'll play Florida, and if they win they go again against SMU or Penn State with a $1 million prize purse up for grabs!

Finally, the guys give their thoughts on Jay Moore's new role as Husker Radio color commentator and the perilous status of the sellout streak just two weeks before the opener.

Big Ten VB Media Day was earlier this week, and Dani Busboom Kelly, Andi Jackson, and Bergen Reilly represented NU in Chicago ahead of the fourth and (maybe?) final season for the senior class of Reilly, Jackson, Harper Murray, and Laney Choboy. The guys discuss the expectations and whether they need to win it all to truly be revered in Husker history.

Then, a conversation about the Blackshirt defense. Can they improve the red zone defense? Can they find sack production? Who will the leaders be? Cole & Nate break it all down.

Finally, Gary Sharp from the Omaha World-Herald stops by to talk volleyball, football, and Roger Craig finally going in to the Hall of Fame.

Max Olson, ESPN national college football reporter, was in Chicago for the event and shares what he heard from Matt Rhule and other conference coaches. Max also offers a national perspective on Nebraska's current place in college football, their portal approach this offseason, and what the College Football 27 video game thought of NU.

Cole & Nate react to Matt Rhule's comments, along with the recent news on the 5-for-5 eligibility ruling in federal court, the Protect College Sports Act, and whether Nebraska teams will wear a sponsored jersey patch in 2026-27.
