Our new series, titled "Sis, How Are You?" aims to create a safe space for sharing personal journeys about recognizing when help is needed and how to seek it on the path to mental wellness.

We will also discuss the significant effects of neglecting mental health, how to recognize when help is necessary, and the importance of taking action. Our conversations will explore the why and how behind our mental health shifts and what was required to gain a new perspective on life. 

We'll reflect on how this journey has impacted us personally, emotionally, and in our relationships with others.

Additionally, we’ll highlight the importance of healthy relationships and friendships and their influence on family dynamics and overall life satisfaction. 

We will also identify critical resources and explore how we can all become vessels for positive change—helping others improve their mental health and becoming effective leaders supporting their healing journey.

We will explore personal development through seeking mental health support. We will discuss breaking the stigma surrounding cultural expectations, identifying mental health issues, and pursuing help to maintain a healthy lifestyle and mental well-being.

We are excited to have special guests, mental health therapist Dr. Rashida and Wellness Coach Edrence Yalley, joining us at 8 AM to provide their expert insights and advice.

Did you know that a survey by the Women's Health Imperative revealed that 50% of Black women feel a stigma around seeking mental health treatment, which often prevents them from accessing the care they need? This is a significant issue. Together, we can change the narrative and promote the importance of getting help, shedding light on why mental health support is essential for everyone.
