The League of Women Voters was founded in February of 1919, more than a year before the 19th Amendment was certified. Over one hundred years later, this organization continues to protect and expand voting rights and ensure everyone is represented. Through advocacy, education, and litigation at the local, state, and national levels, they empower voters and defend democracy.
In our local area, the League of Women Voters of Bell County works to protect and expand our voting rights. This week, Irene Andrews stopped by to talk to Laury Sisko about ways you can get involved.
