Over the next two weeks, we’re looking at ten reasons every Christian should be a creationist. Number one: God is always good.
Throughout the creation week, God describes what he’s made as “good” and then as “very good.” Now, if God used millions of years of death and suffering to bring about creation, what did he mean by “good”? Does God view death, suffering, and extinction as “good”? What kind of a good, loving God is that?
But if God created in six literal 24-hour days as he said he did, there’s no problem! There was no death or suffering before sin, so God’s creation was truly good because God is good.
Mark Gregston, Wayne Shepherd and Courtney Lafleur discuss how many parents lose their personal identity by becoming overly consumed with their children’s lives. While involvement is vital, Mark emphasizes that parents must maintain balance — nurturing their marriage, friendships and personal interests so their sense of purpose isn’t tied solely to parenting. They remind us that when a parent’s entire focus revolves around their kids, it can create pressure for teens and strain the family dynamic as children get older. Mark encourages moms and dads to pursue hobbies, friendships and “me time” to protect their mental, emotional and relational health.
If your family is struggling, Mark invites you to join him at one of his Families In Crisis Conferences at Heartlight Ministries in Texas. Visit familycrisisretreat.com to learn more and register!

Some statements can carry tremendous meaning. Some can be life-changing. Statements like “not guilty” . . . “you’re cancer-free” . . . “it’s a boy!” Imagine NOT sharing one of those statements with those who needed to hear it. Well today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out the privilege and responsibility of sharing a message that could affect where someone spends eternity. We’ll consider the Gospel, and how it offers us a second chance.

It’s a fact - your children fail. And when they do, how do you respond? Today, Chip uncovers why the Bible says that failure is never final, and that God can teach you to respond to your children exactly the same way He responds to you when you fail. Chip shares how to respond to your child’s failure in a way that strengthens them not to give up, to grow, and to become better able to handle failure in the future.
Introduction: “Five Smooth Stones” - God has been in the business of helping children defeat the “evil giants” in their world for a long time.
