-For Ian. Since Vanilla's debut in the Sonic series, we've known very little about her other than being Cream's mother and that she raised her to be polite and formal to others via strict teachings. We know nothing about the life she lives and we hardly get to see her do much other than appear in stories to give Cream a personal motivation. My question is, how would you personally approach a character like Vanilla to give her more of a background and something to do in her life?

Priority Q&A: Did you have any plans for Mr. X after the Mega Man 6 adaptation? In the final issue, we see in a one page summary of the events of Mega Man 6 what seems to be Mr. X getting thrown into a portal.

Hey Ian, I had been browsing through the old Q&A threads on the BKC forums via WayBack Machine and found an interesting question where someone asked you about the Power Gems. At the time you had answered that you would be touching upon them in the Encyclopedia. I checked as best as I could my copy of the Sonic Comic Encyclopedia for any entries about them and couldn't find any. I also checked any issues regarding them because I could've sworn it was said somewhere that they were created by Robotnik or were a mineral dug up but found neither.

So what do you think was the deal with the Power Gems? Were they manmade gems or were they something naturally occurring that could be found in the world?

How would you or another writer have tackled Katella the Huntress? She’s arguably more interesting than Breezie and her story is open-ended to continuation. I think she’s too ‘problematic’ to bring over other than in-name-only, or could that be circumvented successfully for fans?

So Ian, in the 30 years later story line, Tails and Mina are together, which was launched off the 25 years later story line I think. Now I haven't read most of the issues before 160 but from what I heard from fans who have, Tails and Mina never really interacted that much and only had one like one moment that could have been taken as romantic. So I'm just wondering, even though the 30 years later storyline is an alterante timeline of the series, is the Tails and Mina romance would have been something you would have tried exploring/fleshing out?

Do you think there is more of a chance to see Blaze and Silver team up in a battle or on a mission in the IDW comics than there was in the Archie comics? Their game counterparts are said to work well together, but Blaze and Silver shared few words in the Archie comics.

Why were there extreme claims that quote "The World Fell" during the last saga? I feel that it is misleading to claim the "WHOLE WORLD" fell to the Deadly Six since there are bound to be places out there unaffected by what happened. As the comic has shown places like Spiral Village were never affected by the events of Sonic Forces even though 99% of the world had fallen to the Eggman Empire. This suggests there are places that weren't affected by Dr Eggman at all in spite of his claims of ruling 99% of the world.

My question is, assuming this is intentional, was Sega aware, or did you sneak it by? But hold on, it's not over yet- if it was intentional, was it ALWAYS intentional, or did the idea just come after you saw people react to Whisper by pointing out she's a sniper wolf? Did you put your will to paper or allow yourself to let the memes come to life?
