Chat Transcript:

6:58 PMSheekagoHey Andrew

7:00 PMaddictedtochaosHello

7:02 PMaddictedtochaosThere are several games from the Direct that I will buy, but the Star Ocean remake made me sit up and my jaw drop. I can’t recommend it enough.

7:02 PMaddictedtochaosAt this point I think Metroid Prime 4 will be a next gen game.

7:03 PMJared Kniselyare you ok?

7:03 PMJared Kniselyjk XD

7:05 PMJared Kniselyi can now play the game people have told me to play

7:07 PMJared Kniselynot as gollum tho

7:07 PMJared Kniselynot as bad as gollum*

7:07 PMLee ShowronHey

7:08 PMLee ShowronWhat’s your opinion on the remastered of Super Mario rpg on switch?

7:08 PMJared Kniselyrpg is the game btw

7:09 PMLee ShowronOh ok

7:10 PMLee ShowronYou seen Sonic central. That did more sonic stuff Nintendo direct didn’t do

7:10 PMJared Kniselyvanilla for me

7:10 PMJared Kniselyno mint for me

7:11 PMJared Kniselyhate mint

7:11 PMLee ShowronTechnically it’s a number 2

7:12 PMLee ShowronI’m late

7:12 PMaddictedtochaosOnly one that doesn’t is New Pokémon Snap, but that wasn’t made by GameFreak.

7:13 PMLee ShowronIt’s made by Nintendo and square

7:13 PMLee ShowronAnd square usely makes great games

7:14 PMLee ShowronI have played it and have super nes version but I’m still getting it on switch

7:15 PMJared Kniselynot mario 64 good, you would say

7:18 PMLee ShowronMario 64 camera is trash though

7:22 PMJared Knisely97

7:23 PMLee ShowronThat’s only got if you haven’t bought any for ps5, but if you have it’s not worth it

7:23 PMJared Kniselyor 96

7:23 PMLee ShowronGood

7:23 PMJared Kniselydeepens on region

7:23 PMaddictedtochaosArkham Asylum and City should run just fine, Im curious to see how Knight runs. The physical version will only have Asylum on the cartridge.

7:23 PMLee Showron97?

7:24 PMJared Knisely96 for japan and america/97 for the rest

7:24 PMLee ShowronIt’s just the same game with everything in it also dlc. So if bought everything on ps5 you wouldn’t get it. They need release that stuff same time

7:26 PMSheekagoDoesn't the dog only have two legs?

7:26 PMLee ShowronWhy is Disney dragging there feet on kingdom hearts 4 it’s been years since they did a trailer of number 4. Just makes me think they’re delaying it for some reason

7:28 PMLee ShowronI was talking about Batman when I said that

7:30 PMaddictedtochaosThe Metal Gear Solid Collection won’t actually have any games on the physical Switch version.

7:30 PMJared Kniselywell, the disney license for it has expired to my knowledge, so it's in square's court

7:32 PMaddictedtochaosVolume 1 implies Volume 2 unless you are the Traveling Wilburys and jump right to Volume 3.

7:32 PMLee ShowronThat’s what makes it hard to tell if something is physical

7:33 PMaddictedtochaosFrom my understanding for the physical Switch version of Metal Gear will have a cartridge but it acts as a download key.

7:34 PMJared Kniselyits only 4 dollars on stream il buy it for you to try XD

7:34 PMLee ShowronI’m waiting to get steam deck to play steam games

Welcome to Movie Mandates, a review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme!  This month's theme is "Pride Month!" so my sister mandated we watch A Fantastic Woman!  This film might be notable for winning an Academy Award but for me, it marks the second Chilean film I've seen, the first being Bring Me the Head of the Machine Gun Woman!

Chile likes movies about women, apparently.

We'll be back in two weeks with another mandated movie.  If you'd like to watch it, click here to find where it's streaming or available to rent.

If you'd like to watch the video version of Movie Mandates, you can do so on YouTube.  Alternatively, you can listen to and audio-only version on iTunes.  New episodes of Movie Mandates drop on the first and third Wednesday of every month!
