Not even a name change will stop Americans from pronouncing it incorrectly.

0:00 - It's pronounced, Yakuza. Not Yakuza. Yakuza!

49:55 - I finally saw Nekromantik, the romantic tale of a couple who diddle dead folks. It's not very good. Surprise!

7:04 PMCafeFoxno sound andrew

7:05 PMCafeFoxYay your wonderful voice back

7:08 PMSheekagoHi all

7:11 PMSheekagoThey're probably only familiar with Jacuzzi so they're calling it Jacuzza

7:12 PMLyricallyCGood evening Andrew

7:14 PMLyricallyCI used to say "Yah-Koo-Zah"

7:15 PMLyricallyCLoved your Valentine Video lol. You're such an amazing story teller. Love the build up til the end lol

7:16 PMLyricallyCWe said Ninja Gaiden wrong back in the day

7:17 PMCafeFoxyeah Ninja Gayden

7:19 PMLyricallyCI wonder how many games we said wrong because we weren't informed on the pronouciation about them

7:19 PManime momoHello @Lynndy Lee!

7:20 PMCafeFoxI watch YouTube every night so I rarely ever miss anything from channels I watch. Never had to hit notify on anything I guess

7:20 PManime momoHello @sheekago

7:23 PMSheekagohey @anime momo

7:23 PMLyricallyCyes

7:24 PMSheekagoI always used to call it Ninja Guyden

7:24 PMLyricallyCI did until seeing The Wizard

7:24 PMLyricallyCI played the Arcade game of Ninja Gaiden and didn't even know it

7:25 PManime momoNo lol

7:25 PMSheekagoI don't know where I heard the proper pronunciation for Gaiden.

7:27 PManime momoAndrew reacts to Andrew

7:29 PMSheekagoThere were friends who swore that you could find a porn channel on cable, but it was so scrambled you couldn't make it out.

7:30 PManime momoI actually really like your reaction videos even though there’s no reaction (:

7:30 PMCafeFox@sheekago dude yes, that was our friday night lol

7:31 PMLyricallyCDid you ever do a update to the Nintendo Switch list of games? Was it third party that you talked about?

7:31 PMSheekago@cafefox that never worked. What we did is run into the adult section of the local video rental place. Then we got chased out.

7:32 PMLyricallyCMarch

7:33 PMCafeFox@sheekago My parents ended up getting a scrambler, so all those channels came out clear 🤫

7:35 PManime momo…

7:35 PMSheekagoAndrew, yeah they were privately owned video stores. They had swinging doors for the adult section. Like the saloon doors in old westerns.

7:36 PMCafeFoxVideo place near me had a beated doorway into a back room

7:36 PMLyricallyCPlayboy?

7:37 PMSheekagoI hated how Wii U exclusives got ported. Rayman Legends, ZombiU, Lego City Undercover.

7:37 PMSheekagoOr definitive versions like Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Deus Ex.

7:40 PMSheekagoMaybe they're including the price of their ISP if they had to get faster speeds to be able to stream movies?

7:45 PMCafeFoxActually at the end of the game if you're too slow helping your pilot friend when she crashes, she dies if you go fast enough

7:45 PMCafeFox* If you go fast enough you save her

7:55 PMLyricallyClol

7:56 PMCafeFoxShe crashes and you get swarmed by enemies, if you don't take them out fast enough they kill her. yeah close enough

7:56 PMLyricallyCWait? WHAT???

7:56 PMLyricallyCOh, I need to see this movie

7:57 PMLyricallyCIt's nothing to laugh at?

Ignore the fact that it's nearly March, because Viper's here to discuss what collectively played in January 2023!

In this episode: A visit to Planet Vape.

Welcome to Movie Mandates, a review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme!  February is Tearjerkers month so my sister mandated we watch Steel Magnolias, a movie, it must be said, severely lacking in metal flowers.  Is false advertising what makes audiences cry?

0:00 - Trivial Trivia

6:43 - Steel Magnolias review

51:13 - Next episode's mandated movie

We'll be back in two weeks with another mandated movie.  If you'd like to watch it, click here to find where it's streaming or available to rent.

If you'd like to watch the video version of Movie Mandates, you can do so on YouTube.  Alternatively, you can listen to and audio-only version on iTunes.  New episodes of Movie Mandates drop on the first and third Wednesday of every month!

Credits: Molehill Mountain is hosted by Andrew Eisen and Keleigh Eisen.  Music in the show includes "To the Top" by Silent Partner and is used with permission.  Movie Mandates logo and art by Lynndy Lee.
