The Curtains reopen just north, fifty some miles above Smyrna – we are now in the busy city of Pergamos, a place of education and libraries of many books.  Many believe that the name of this city has the meaning of “thoroughly married”, and this term was almost prophetic of the marriage unequally yoked between the Christians there and the Government.

Sadly a boy has died and Elijah prays over him. God hears Elijah's prayer and God hears our prayers! We need to make our prayers personal, fervent, and specific.
