New to KNMJ T-Bird Radio 100.9 is Student DJ Oscar Campos! A dual language show where DJ Oscar mixes music and talks about what's on his mind. Episode 1 focuses on how music is important.

When New Mexico Junior College Men's Basketball student athlete Gideon George witnessed one of his teammates throwing away a pair of basketball shoes at the end of the school year, he couldn't believe his eyes. Gideon had come from a place where even shoes with holes were a blessing. He teamed up with his brother over the summer to collect around 100 pairs of shoes to donate to Time Out 4 Africa Foundation in their hometown of Minna, Nigeria. Now, NMJC Athletics is participating in T-Bird Sole. We are collecting gently used or new athletic shoes (children through adult). Bring a pair for FREE admittance into the opening basketball games of the Estacado Thunderbird Classic on Friday, November 1st, or drop shoes off at the NMJC Athletic Offices at any time.

This week on Lea County with Lindsay, Melinda Franca and Perla Trevino from the Lovington Youth Center joined Lindsay in the KNMJ Studio to talk about the Out of This World Summer Camp Kick-Off. After a short break, the new Interim-Executive Director Erin Anderson and Director of Education Mary Lyle from the Western Heritage Museum spoke about the opening of their Rodin exhibit.

Teresita chose to do something special with Episode 14 by bringing in some of the students in her English as a Second Language class to not only practice their English but also provide Música y Libros fans with other languages and cultures.
