This week Courtney chats with Gina from Their Best Start. Gina shares her own experience with having a NICU baby and also her job as a physical therapist in the Early Intervention program. This week we talk with Kayleigh from the Instagram Account Birth Trauma Mama. She shares with us her birth story and her experience with Amniotic Fluid Embolism. AFE is a rare, but life-threatening complication that affects pregnant women shortly before, during, or immediately following labor and childbirth. Kayleigh shares how the trauma she experienced from birth has changed her. She shares with us how she has learned to cope and deal with the trauma.

This week we are sharing what Preeclampsia Awareness Month means to us. May is Preeclampsia Awareness Month and this month means a lot to us. Not only is it Preeclampsia Awareness Month, but Courtney was also diagnosed with preeclampsia in May of 2019 and our daughter was born early because of it. This year we are doing a lot to spread awareness and partnering with other Instagram accounts. This week we chat with Nicole who is a preeclampsia survivor who gave birth to her son at 34 weeks. Her son was also IUGR and spent time in the NICU. Nicole was able to turn her horrible experience into something that helps others by the creation of her non-profit, Nestled in the NICU.

Adam is a father of a 25 weeker, author of 'Our Preemie Adventure', and he is always willing to bring humor into preemie parents' lives. He shares his son's birth story, who was born early due to Preeclampsia. Adam also shares his journey to writing his book and his dream to roll it out to as many preemie parents and NICU's.
