Today we consider the first sermon Jesus preached which is a sermon to remember but also a sermon to respond to. We see how Jesus preaches an important command and an irresistible call to repent and believe the Gospel. If you watch or listen to the Gospel message being preached today, there are just two responses from your heart to that call of the Gospel. You either repent or refuse. The message for you today is that it is time to stop resisting and start resting in Jesus: Repent and believe in the Gospel!

Have you ever wondered what church membership is all about? Are any qualifications, skills or level of knowledge needed before you can join? Tonight we discover that the only thing that qualifies us to be a member is faith in Jesus Christ alone. If you have always stayed away thinking that you don't qualify, then now's your chance to come along and find out about Jesus and why it is only faith in him that matters in life. Or, if you have fallen out of the habit of attending church, then come back! The early church was wholeheartedly committed to the church family and desired to be there, and were devoted to one another. Now we admit we're not perfect but loving Jesus and loving people is what our church is all about and is what we strive to do. So come and join our church family gathering…

Are we a warm and welcoming church family? We are to be smiling, speaking and sharing fellowship, all in the name of our Saviour Jesus Christ. Today the sacrament of the Lord's Supper was taken by those who profess Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. We continued our study of Genesis 3 and discovered the first sacrifice made to cover the sin of Adam and Eve. We see the necessity of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross at calvary so the sins of God's people are covered and we are forgiven.
