  • Three in One
This passage speaks of three parables with one promise. 3 in 1! These parables are all about kingdom of God and all three are parables of promise. We see the Promise of the Kingdom Glowing, the Kingdom Growing and the Kingdom Going. We see how faith, even the size of a mustard seed is enough and Jesus will help that faith grow. We also discover that Christ's Kingdom is one that will glow, grow, go and will not stop. Will you be a part of it or will you stay away?

  • How's your heart
We return again to Murdo's favourite parable: The parable of the Sower. It comes with Murdo's favourite question to ask you: How's your heart? It is good to ask this searching spiritual question to examine our spiritual health. This parable helps to challenge us whether we are listening the God's Word and to remember that how we hear affects our hearts. Is your heart Hardened? Hollow? Hungry? or Healthy? Has it changed since Murdo last preached this sermon? If so, which one describes your heart today?

  • Christ's Sent Messengers

  • Confident Christianity
Have you ever tried to find answers to life's problems and been dissatisfied with what you are told? Bookshops are filled with self-help books and social media often claims to have the latest programme or app to make you a better and more confident person. Psalm 27 reminds us of a truth that confidence is not about being confident in self but rather it is about leaning on, and trusting in, Jesus who is our confidence.  The psalmist David shares four things: Confident Confession, Confident Covering, Confident Comfort and Confident Courage. It is important to remember that in the midst of all difficulties, pains, and darkness, there is light and hope for those who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. Is your Confidence in our Saviour? Can you say Jesus is my Light and my Salvation?

  • Still a Disobedient Disciple
Tonight we see the disobedience of Jonah again as he is now raging at the compassion of the Lord towards the people of Nineveh. This passage reveals to us three things about Jonah: His Unnecessary anger, Undeservingly appointment, and Unmistakable application. Yet we are reminded that the story of Jonah is ultimately all about Jesus. Despite Jonah's attitude, we see the graciousness of God that He is not willing that any should perish but that all come to repentance. We are reminded as Christians that the Good News of the Gospel is for every generation and we should not hide it, hinder it or hold it back from those who need to hear it. Instead, we are to be devoted disciples and share the Good News!

  • Apple of your Eye
Considering Psalm 17 and a famous phrase "The apple of your eye" we consider how the psalmist is asking God three things: Hear me, Hold me, and Hide me

  • Following the Leader
Who are you following? In this life, we all follow someone. Influencers. Celebrities. Friends. Politicians. Ideologies. Ourselves. But have you considered this: who you follow in this brief life has eternal consequences. This sermon confronts a sobering reality from Scripture: a famous following, a faithful following, and a failed following. Some followed Christ in truth. Others walked beside Him yet remained lost. Jesus does not merely ask for admiration, interest, or occasional attention. He calls sinners to repent, trust Him, and follow Him completely. There is forgiveness for every sin in Christ today. But the warning is real: if you refuse to follow Jesus now, one day it will be too late. Not today. Not now. "Seek the Lord while He may be found." Ask. Seek. Repent. Follow Jesus Christ — in this life and forevermore.

  • A Disciplined Disciple
There's an element of deja vu as we return to John as he is recommissioned to preach to the people of Nineveh. Jonah serves as an example of a recommissioned prophet, a resurrected preacher to a repentant people. We continue to see downs and ups of this book are all pointing to Christ and the glorious good news of the Gospel.
