From the Book of Ester to the Kim Ks of Instagram, we are tapping into all things Influencer. A series of events and discussions this past week have truly opened my eyes to the difference between those who have the power to influence others and people who are simply popular. We can all fall victim to the desire to have star power, but not know what to do with it. And on the other hand, we can feel the excessive need to live like those who we consider #GOALS, when in facts, those people aren't in real life who they are online. 

One key takeaway that I want all my creatives and social media consumers to remember is that: Popularity does not equate to having true influence.
