This week we dig a bit deeper than just movement itself. As dancers we are often find ourselves participating in cultures that may be considered another's lived experience, one that is bound to them to the core. This calls us to be thoughtful about how we move, speak, dress, and act within our dance community. We have the pleasure of having Dr. Arnel Calvario, founder of Kaba Modern and President of Culture Shock International, with us to improve our understanding of appreciation and appropriation, and to guide us in seeking further knowledge about the many different dance forms we'll be encountering on our individual dance journeys. Follow him on Instagram @arnelcalvario to learn about all the great work he does for dance world!
Diving into physical health this week with our board members Julie, Mona, and Jess! As always, feel free to shoot us followup questions on our instagram page @seed.dance or email them to [email protected]. Enjoy :)

Also happy to have $enSei share his talent with us by providing some chill tracks to bump to during our intros and outros. Check out more of his work and send him love @sensei_beats on Instagram!
