Music is seriously a drug.
Do you think you could go a month without it? Even a week?!
But that isn't the point of this episode. This episode is more about the way the music makes us feel and how we connect on a subconscious level with it. It is about how depending on the meaning, we can stay connected with certain, not so desirable, feelings.
I have been working on my mindset for many years now and have come to the conclusion that music is a form of programming.
We listen, feel, connect, and download the information contained in the song.
Becoming aware of the lyrics is the main focus here.
Each genre has a general feeling attached to it.. To me as follows:
Country - Sad, Gloomy, Depressed, Lonely, Grieving.
Hard Core Rock - Upset, Frustrated, Angry, Resentful, Hate.
Rap - Disrespectful, Careless, Dark (at times), Scarce, Demeaning.Please understand though, there are A LOT of really good, positive songs in all of these genres. But you tend not to hear them on the main stream as much..
Just focus on the words you listen to and the way it makes you feel.
