Living Theology

Knowing Christ

Listen Later

The disciples only understood the death and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ after it happened. It was in the light of the Resurrection that they knew He was the Son of God. Then that's the only time they began to understand the meaning of His death upon the cross.
Saints, no one will ever understand the doctrine of the cross, unless he or she understands and has a grip of the doctrine of the person Jesus Christ; There's a scripture in the book of John chapter 5:36-39. This us what the Bible says...
" But I have a greater witness than John's; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish - the very works that I do - bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me. And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. You search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life "
Brothers, it is we who are supposed to go the Christ in times of challenges, in times that we are doubting, in times you are doubting who Christ is or who God is; the best point is to go to the Lord *Himself* and we touch the Lord in our spirit, with our human spirit, for the Lord is in us!!!
Amen! And Amen!!!
God bless you.
