Learning How to Love - Part 36
"Seeing Nothing"
With Rabbi Ari Sollish
(Recorded live in Atlanta on August 2, 2020)
Seeing is believing, they say. There's a truth and certainty that is born of the visual experience -- a strength and a power that one gains in the experience.
At the same time, there's nothing as humbling as the act of seeing. Seeing takes us out of ourselves and thrusts us face to face with the subject we are beholding. There the subject stands in its full glory -- we, relegated to the role of humble onlooker.
That is the paradox of sight. A paradox we will explore in in this Kabbalah & Coffee class.
In this special visual edition of Kabbalah & Coffee, we explore the paradox of sight in the mystical tradition and discover why, in the final analysis, it all amounts to seeing nothing.
