This Sunday, we gathered for a deeply meaningful day together as we opened God’s Word to John 10 and considered Christ as our Good Shepherd — the One who stands between His people and every danger, who lays down His life for the sheep, and who never walks away.

 It was also a joyful and historic moment for our church family as we ordained Lucas Cabral as an elder of Knox Baptist Church. We’re thanking Christ for raising up another shepherd among us — a man who loves the Word, loves the church, and is eager to pour out his life for the flock.

In Malachi 4, God promises a day that burns like an oven—and a healing sun that rises with righteousness.

As we conclude our series, How to Not Be the Church, we reflect on the sobering warnings, radiant hope, and the call to faithfulness when cultural religion falls short.

This Sunday, we’re in Malachi 3.🔥
A word to a people who were frustrated with life, yet blind to how their disobedience was shaping it.
A word about robbery, trust, repentance, and the unchanging God.
A word for a generation tempted to use God instead of trusting Him.

God has always called His messengers to guard His truth with fear and faithfulness. In every generation, the Lord raises up leaders who will not twist His Word, but tremble before it and teach it plainly.
This time we continue through Malachi and consider this weighty calling—and why it matters for the whole church. When God’s truth is honoured, His people flourish. When it’s neglected, everything falls apart.

Will you return to Him?That was God’s question to His people through the prophet Malachi — a people who still gathered, still offered sacrifices, still sang, but whose hearts had grown cold.God was not pleased with their worship because it no longer reflected His worth. Their view of Him had become small, and their worship followed.True worship begins when we see God as He truly is — glorious, holy, and worthy.And when we see Him rightly, everything changes!

Change My Mind — Reformation Sunday 🔨

This Sunday, we return to the same question: will we let God’s Word change our minds?
