People seek freedom in lots of different places. Some think they will find freedom by having a lot of money, having university degrees, or following their hearts and dreams.
The Bible tells us that true freedom is found through the knowledge of the truth, and God graciously gives this to those who humble themselves before Him and come to Jesus, who is "truth incarnated."
It's a bold claim, but we want to explore together why this is the case.

One of the most essential questions all human beings need to answer is who Jesus is. And that’s why the Gospels (and indeed the whole Bible) were written: to help us see the truth about Jesus. Jesus, in his last week before his crucifixion and resurrection, taught his disciples many things that are recorded for us in the Gospels. And this Sunday, we will study one of the parables he taught them.
In Matthew 22:1-14, we have the parable known as “The Parable of the Wedding Feast.” In this short story, we have a profound revelation of the Kingdom of God. And this teaching comes with some sobering warning for all who receive the Gospel invitation.
“... many are called, but few are chosen.”

Today, we had our second and last sermon in this short series in the book of Philemon! ✨
In the Christian life, the way we love our brothers and sisters is a reflection of our understanding of God's love for us.💛 In the Gospel, God has revealed his prodigal love for us, and it is our task to move deeper and deeper into the Gospel if we want to grow into Christlikeness.
In the letter to Philemon, this is exactly what Paul wants from Philemon - he wants him to go deeper into the Gospel, and he would use this situation with his slave Onesimus as an opportunity to impersonate the love of Christ for his Church.
